I didnt realise how badly the success (not actual 'winning trophies' success, but you know...) had gone to their heads....

i only read the first page, and apart from the whole king kenny honeymoon period (which let's face it, we don't know if that true or not) i don't see a whole lot wring with what they're saying. of course a return to the top four is dependent on what we spend in the market. duh.dave of mutilation

Liverpool top 4 this season?
Hahahahahahahahahahhaha Please.depends how long dalglish can hack it before he bottles it & quits like the last time.aww bless emmy mates ( yes i have scouse mates) think they willl finish 5th or 4th this season...
lolGiddy spell under a new manager.Their new owner(s) (i.e., the current yanks that are taking them for a ride) have already stated that they want Platini to stick to his new Fair Play rules in the face of what Chelsea have just spent. Doesn't sound like an owner that intends throwing money at them, and they need a lot of money throwing at them. So no chance of them getting back to being a regular top 4 team any time soon. Some serious flapping on here. Relax.
They are skint and now a selling club.
The problem is, apart from an excellent goalkeeper, they have nobody left to sell.
Spending £53m looks impressive, until you realise it's less than what they got for Torres and Babel. Their new owners have made zero money available. They are not Sheikh Mansour.
Gerrard and Carragher are in serious decline, their defence is not top 4 standard and only Reina and perhaps Meireles would now fetch fees of £10m or more.
They have no depth at all. People on here slag Lescott, but would you really have that Greek donkey of theirs as our third choice centre half instead?
Carroll and Suarez may hit it off. They may also end up in jail or suspended for attempted cannibalism respectively. Neither are proven.
This is a club that nearly went bust only a few weeks ago.
Their need to buy a new ground, leaving them skint, is the elephant in the room for Scousers and a few wins, most against bottom feeders of the Prem, won't make Nelly go away

So your opinion that there isnt much wrong with what they said hasnt changed, despite the fact that you trust FSG entirely, yet some of them think FSG are 'taking us for a ride' ?Originally posted by little dave hedgehog View Postok i read the whole thing now. my opinion has not changed on the matter.

although those aren't opinions that would be likely to be held around here (although there are those...
), i still don't see how they aren't valid. there are very few around here who think we will actually challenge for the top 4. as far as the owners are concerned, they're new, and city fans obviously don't care as much about them as we do, and don't read every article on them and watch every interview.
again, maybe not the most popular of viewpoints in these parts, but certainly quite understandable.dave of mutilation

The slagging of Kyrgiakos from other fans really gets my goat. Plainly they just don't watch him. They hear an unfashionable name, who's been a bit of a journeyman, and decide he's ****e. That's it. My Spurs mate, who has also taken to looking down on LFC
has been slaughtering him..."not fit to wear the shirt", "a sorry indication of where LFC are at" etc.
I stated his case and he just laughed. Pointed out to him that Soto is one of the most aerially dominant CBs in the league and he just dismissed it FFS.
We all know he's limited but you can only judge a player on what he does on the pitch in our shirt, and for the most part he's been very good.
Had to get that off my chest.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
