I've bookmarked the thread to laugh at them, in 12 months time when they have spent another £300,000,000 and still got **** all to show for it.

they've got more money on tap than most of the PL sides combined. Not surprised they're getting ahead of themselves. They could buy Messi in the morning if he was motivated by £££. And world class players (eg. Torres) seem to like it.. Wait until the Glazer posse sell to Qatar. Man City will seem like we do now. Money (look at Chelsea) wins titles - end of.

It's not unique to City fans...I think you'll probably find that if you look on any United, Chelsea, Arsenal, City, Spurs fan forums you'll find the same deluded rubbish. There's so much hatred and anger towards rival teams that their vision/opinions are heavily distorted.

I don't know why some people bother looking on other team's fan forums especially rivals (i.e. RedCafe). All it will do is make you angry at the complete bull**** they spout. I remember once visiting RedCafe (don’t anymore) and on the first page of their main football forum they had 14 of 20 threads to do with Liverpool – that’s how sad and obsessed they are in talking **** about us.

Here’s an example of the distorted bull**** opinions one of my United fan mates (wouldn’t really call him that) had. Was out drinking in town and it was the first I time saw him since England got knocked out of the World Cup – he started saying the reason we lost was because of Carragher (who wasn’t even playing) and he then explained how all four goals were Carragher’s fault – I let him finish before telling him he never even played. Was amusing to hear him backtrack.

I was talking to two United fans at the gym and the subject of the transfer window came up, i mentioned that we were in for Suarez and the price was 22 million, the less educated one piped up 'where the **** would Liverpool get that money from?'. I took great delight in telling him who our owners were and about their recent purchases in baseball, and that we are debt free. He had not got a clue.

They (City fans) have an attitude of not if it will happen but when.throw Enough money at anything and you will eventually get what you want.

My Spurs mate, who has also taken to looking down on LFC has been slaughtering him..."not fit to wear the shirt", "a sorry indication of where LFC are at" etc.

I stated his case and he just laughed. Pointed out to him that Soto is one of the most aerially dominant CBs in the league and he just dismissed it FFS.

We all know he's limited but you can only judge a player on what he does on the pitch in our shirt, and for the most part he's been very good.

Had to get that off my chest.
Didn't get past this post, but IMO fans of other clubs have absolutely no right to comment on who has the right to wear the Liverpool shirt.
                * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Do you think we're better informed about other clubs than other fans are about LFC?
                  .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

                    Who really knows though ?

And i suppose in comparison to them and the Chavs everyone is skint.

Im not really that bothered about what Man-Cunting-City think of us. They still dont really register with me as a threat for the coming years.

They really do and to be honest some of them are far more positive about the possibility of us getting top 4 this season than I am. Seem like a pretty decent bunch.

one or two maybe but generally untrue. Most of that thread is fair game.

City fans know if anyone can **** it all up, it's them.

Good question. I'd say yes. Ok, maybe no. Well maybe.

I'd say that, given that I work In Sunderland and live in Newcastle, I'm more informed about those two teams than people who live in Sunderland or Newcastle and who support those teams are about Liverpool.

That said, since those fans in particular seem to spend an inordinate amount of time floating about in Toyland (figuratively speaking of course) it's debatable as to whether their perceptions about their own teams can carry any weight.

(apply the same to Liverpool fans living in Mancland or Laaaandan Taaaawn for similar impact)
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

                                An element of truth here?

"Alot of their fans seem to think they are gonna grab a top four position next season... some even think this season. Looking at the table, they certainly aint far off. I can't see them ever getting back into the top four unless they get some big financial backing.
                                Thoughts?"

"Depends if they strengthen the squad wisely in the summer. Their current side aren't good enough to challenge for a top 4 spot, in my opinion. They're having that honeymoon period at the moment under ''King Kenny''©, but that'll only last so long".
Those that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.
Those that killed her, were following the law.
