I wish it went back to the straight knockout competition it should be. It's just because they want rich clubs in the finals they give them every chance to compensate for lucky/fluke/underperforming games where minnows beat the giants.

Takes all the ****ing romance out of the game.

Exactly I've no qualms with people picking the bones out of that performance for to run an overview of his tenure so far and say "the honeymoon is over" is saying that results havent been good enough when in reality they havent been that bad

Am amazed some people criticising kenny and the team,as well as kenny's transfer targets.....last nights x1 is pretty average minus a few players ......

Yes we have 5 players to come in, but as i say before you'd expect alot more from any Liverpool side than what we saw last night.
So ignoring that game you dont think there has been an improvement in our general style and standard of play

**** me that was a painfull match to watch, I'm seriously happy I had FM running at the same time, at least I saw a few goals and chances there.

I really really hope we get more depth and creativity on the wing soon, the current lot out players are to slow, can't take a defender on and slows down the game.

The best we can do for the remainder of this season is getting a good defensive up and running, and that seems to be working and then reinforce up front later. At this moment I would be willing to give some game time to Sterling, Suso or whoever can offer us just a bit of creative width.

Honeymoon periods eh, bit of a downer that for any newly weds. hehe, sorry, could'nt resist.

But on that subject, this is very much only the start of Kennys honeymoon period where managing in europe is concerned.

So long as we go through is all that matters.

Yesterday was just another example of how important Agger is for our attacking play. No coincidence that it been much worse the last two games without him.

Every team would struggle to get something that look like attacking football with two central defenders like Carragher and Kyrgiakos. Two wood-legs.

No quick counter attacks, Lucas must collect the ball very deep, lot of hoofs and up against an organized defence all the time.

Agger is at the moment our most important player by some distance.

There was me thinking it was something to do with our first choice attack and best attacking midfielder missing.
