Wow if Roy had been in charge of a performance like that I would be fuming.
My only complaints though are why 90 mins for Maxi instead of giving Pacheco the last half an hour or so or move Kuyt up top earlier to bring Pacheco on.

I just think that with a lot of creative or attacking players missing that game was an excellent chance to give Dani some more minutes

We are still unbeaten in seven games and hopefully we'll stuff them at Anfield. I'm a bit worried about Kenny in Europe but I hope he'll manage, I'm not expecting us to win the Europa though. Next game we'll hopefully have Agger, Gerrard and Kelly back and if we get past Sparta we'll have Carroll in the next round. We sorely needed those players yesterday.

I think it's a bit harsh to expect Kenny and FSG to have cleared out all the deadwood in january though, this is the squad Kenny has to work with and he is making the best out of it.

I agree regarding Pacheco, I think I would have offered more than Maxi from what I saw (the second half).

I think you know the answer to why Pacheco didn't play. We may have had a better chance to score if he played but our defence would have been worse.

Arn surely you mean it was better to be assured of a point as compared to taking a gamble on Pacheco and it may be go wrong and it costs us and we end up with a loss ?

Yesterday was just another example of how important Agger is for our attacking play. No coincidence that it been much worse the last two games without him.

Every team would struggle to get something that look like attacking football with two central defenders like Carragher and Kyrgiakos. Two wood-legs.

No quick counter attacks, Lucas must collect the ball very deep, lot of hoofs and up against an organized defence all the time.

Agger is at the moment our most important player by some distance.

I think Agger is a very important player for us although we did miss other players too. What I found frustrating was the number of long balls hoofed up from the back by Carragher and Kyriakos.

So that is why Skrtel played the last minutes of the game. We wanted to score a goal. Yeah, right. They would of course prefer to win 1-0 but it wasn't more important than keeping a clean sheet.

Almost every attack start with a central defender making the first pass. If you have central defenders that isn't good enough with the ball then you will almost always be up against an organized defence. Almost no quick counter attacks.

That is why having central defenders with very good ball control is a key point.

If you don't have central defenders with very good ball control then you simply won't be able to play a very good pass and move game. The option must always be there to pass the ball back to them and they in return must be able to pass the ball using one or two touch football. Not like Carra and Kyrgiakos, using five+ touch football.

Kenny obviously thinks Jones is **** as he hasn't featured once ....Gulacsi is our back up now. Thanks Hodgson you ****ing moron. £2m pissed away on Jones, £5m pissed away on Konchesky and the same on Poulsen. Worst £12m ever. And many of us amateurs could see it. Hodgson couldn't.
