That is a bit hyperbolic. He was our best attacking player and he did now way near as bad defensively as you say.

That's more a problem with how bad the attacking players were on the night. If a right back defends poorly, then him being decent in attack means next to nothing.

Johnson is a decent defender in a settled back 4, not a Maldini but a decent defender - his strength is certainly going forwards but we all know that.

He seems to have become what Lucas was a couple of seasons ago in terms of critisism from some of the fans, he wasn't great in his first season but then who out of the out-field players was? and this season it'd been similar under the Bodge - he's looked much better of late and I think in a settled back 4 next season we'll hopefully see why he should be playing week in week out.

I rarely watch Sky. I don't need anyone to tell me how ****e of a defender Johnson is. I've seen it long enough with my own two eyes thank you.

If he was playing for any of the teams who we'd like to call our rivals, we'd be laughing our balls of at him. Ferguson, Ancellotti or Wenger wouldn't put up with such a poor defender though.

It says it all when a youngster comes into the team and puts him to shame.

remember Johnson has been playing left back for us recently, mainly as our only Left back is about as fit as Bella Emberg hence he's been playing there, obviously it's given Kelly a run out and he's dont fantastically well there but if you think about it that's the most likely reason he's been playing there.

I mean you actually stated his defending was worse than PFK, pure rubbish - obviously you're got your own opinions (wrong of course) and thats fair enough but try and be balanced with it.

Completely disagree, Johnson gets off extremely lightly IMO, considering how poorly he's played this season.

Don't know if it's because he's English, or whatever, but he seems to escape criticism when it's fully justified.
People continually make excuses for him and find it almost impossibly to give him any stick whatsoever. even when it's clear as day he's 100% a liability.
