Liverpool FC, more than just trophies

For me Liverpool FC is so much more than just trophies. Sure it is excellent when we win them but it isn't the most important point. The most important point is continue as much we possibly can to keep our values.

Some people want Mourinho as our next manager. The club may win a trophy or two with him in charge but the club would also be a laughing stock. It wouldn't be Liverpool FC anymore. It would be Mourinho FC.

Trophies, trophies, trophies. Is it really so important that we should give up everything that is Liverpool FC?

A big no would be my answer.

FSG should of course look at what is best in financial terms for the club and what is the best long term for the club but they must also keep in mind that it is Liverpool FC and not just a plastic club like Chelsea.

Liverpool FC is a club built to win trophies but it is also a club built to make the supporters proud to be supporters of Liverpool FC. We simply can't give up everything that we love about our club just for some trophies.

Mourinho may be the special one but we are a club you as a supporter can walk down the street holding your head high and be proud being a supporter of Liverpool FC.

Liverpool FC, more than just trophies, much much more.

Sorry, but for me it is about the trophies.

Mourinho or not that is what Liverpool FC is about - winning.

Values in football died a long time ago, maybe our problem was we tried to hold onto them when we should maybe have moved with the times.

Disagree. We've got to WIN and restore those values back. Only us can do this, as a club.
      Are we winning?

Mourinho is the best manager about, not wanting him is beyond stupid.

It's like not taking Messi or Ronaldo cause they're cocks. One of those aint before someone starts, I'm just using the best two players about as an example.

It's not as if he's the only manager who is ever going to be able to win us a trophy. I can understand why people would want him, but I can't stand the guy so don't see why it's stupid to not want him. Having Dalglish back as manager has rejuvenated my love for Liverpool and football as a whole, but to replace him with a guy I can't stand would ruin that.

            Meh, **** him.

Anyway we've been here a million times before. Most posters know where others stand on Mourinho, what's the point in going over it again and again. Besides, Kenny's in situ, it shouldn't even be on people's minds.

Surely it's blatantly obvious and everyone would agree - he's a great manager and he's also a complete and utter cocksucker. Talking about him is so ****ing boring - it's sad how much time we spend talking about him when he's never had anything to do with our great institution, and probably never will.

but to be fair to Mourinho, fans of the team he manages always seem to love him, and only his rivals tend to hate him - you are only hated as long as you are winning - or you are fat sam!

You have my sympathy, as the pain of self-loathing must be unbearable.
