It's obviously not ideal being in this competition as opposed to the CL, but we haven't won anything for five years so I'll happily take this trophy. I'm sure those saying otherwise would change their mind if we get to the final in Dublin. That would be pretty cool and our fans would no doubt take over the place for the duration

look at the positives we were missing Stevie G, Suarez who can't play and Carroll from the side, Cole came back and got a full game under his belt and the defence is looking mean again 7 games and 1 goal conceeded - if we can keep that up with the "big players" coming back into the side we could have a strong finish to the season.

Certainly wasn't a brilliant display but winning ugly is something we'd forgotten how to do for a while so bloody good win!

We're definitely on the up from the shambles that we were pre-Kenny. Our defence is rock solid again, with a few top class additions we'll be challenging soon IMO.

winning trophys is always good, no matter which one, so i just don't get some people craping over the europa league, yeah it's not ideal, yes we'd all rather be in the champions league, but **** me i'd enjoy us making it to a final. it's been a while..

Can anyone get the stats from tonights game because I have just tried to shush Mrs Joe Cole up on facebook , she was giving it large saying Joe was brilliant and Ngog was an idiot for taking it off his foot at the end, I replied politely saying Joe was ok at best and he SHOULD have scored at the end , but she has just informed me that she has just been shown the stats and joe has the most completed passes in the match ?..................agreed that with poulson and co the competition isnt great but I would like to grab old of the stats too ,
