        Really, they won the Europa league? When four teams from half decent country went in the Champions league.

              good lord - my point which has obviously gone way over your head was that winning a trophy for a club be it the Europa Cup, FA cup or the Premiership or the Champions League is special, if you get the chance to win one you do it - end of.

              How many trophies have you seen LFC win ? Not many I'd bet same as most of us over the past 20 years, winning a title is special whatever the cup may be.

                Really strange how some "fans" expect us not to contest tournaments we're in - particularly at this stage of the competition

                  so kenny should just not turn up for the next round and say **** it, its the europa league.

                  we want to be in the CL but at the moment we deserve to be in the EL.

                  Winning trophy is good for the players and while not all are equal avoiding winning a European trophy is a bit of a strange thought.

                        I missed the end, did Soto get the winner?

                        What I saw of it was a bit bad really. N'Gog shouldn't be at the club next season, I think he's the worst forward we've had at Liverpool since Sean Dundee.

                        Drago, man come on. We're in a competition and its worth winning if we can. I wanted us to win it last year, and I want to win it this year. I hate seeing Liverpool beaten, especially with the King in charge.

                        Yeah, we'll be in it next year, but it will be funny playing against Fernando Torres in it...

                          what will we moan about if we win every game and score 5 and play lovely football, with a full huge stadium that has a great atmosphere no sponsorship no shirt sponsorship the worlds best youth set up etc etc.

                            As Reece blatantly quoted me on, without refering to me-I'm gutted by the way Reece, just gutted- success breeds success. Without the UEFA win in '76, would we have won the European Cup in '77? Winning things, anything, gives confidence & swagger to players. It also allows us to attract a better caliber of 'non-mercenary' player. The more trophies we win, even tne 'lesser' ones that superfan *Drago* talks about, turns players heads & makes it easier to sign them.

                            Why wouldn't we want that?
