    Kuyt Song/Verse

Read somewhere that we haven't got a song for the lad.

Here's a shoddy bit of verse to start us off. Any improvements?

    Harry Kewell's got gout
But there's no need to shout

    We've got the lad 'Kowt'
    and he's got some clout

he's sure to end our drought
    It's nineteen or nought!

      "Come on within,
      come on without...
you aint seen nothing like the mighty Kuyt"

I couldn't hear either way from where I was tbh mate. We do really need one proper good Kuyt song that everyone can get singing.

I can understand if people dont like a song, but FFS, why boo?

If it's so bad, the old timers are free to come up with better.

Yep and thats why it was gettin booed.

The way I see it tho, it's keeping the song alive, althought I can see why some wouldn't want it sang.

Yes, and there's been a debate of sorts, as to whether or not 'mighty dirk kuyt' scans better, or not.

                            Emlyn Hughes = 3 syllables.
                            Dirk Kuyt = 2 syllables.
Mighty Dirk Kuyt = 4 syllables.

                            Hence the confusion

I certainly dont think it's disrespectful to crazy horse, personally.

                              Each to their own, mind.
