I don't think the list will be as long as what people think, there maybe 70,000 on the waiting list but I bet 20,000 of them already go the match on someone else's ticket.

The problem is, and has been for a while now, no one ever gives up there ticket. I know at least 8 people who all go to the match using someone else's ticket. The people that they get them off don't wont to give them up, but for whatever reason don't want them that season ( they've no money that year, working away, having a baby, whatever.... )

I know there's always the odd game that people cant go to, but there are some people that only use there ticket to go to the big 5 or 6 games of the season and then sell on the other games. I'm pretty sure if people had to prove there identity when attending half the stadium would be empty.

I'm a total hypocrite though because I myself have taken 3 different season tickets for 4 of the last 10 seasons because people didn't want to go for a season ( or 2! ) though if I turned it down there was always someone else waiting to take it so what do you do?... I want to go the match obviously!!!

Yes, we had 2 (me and my daughter), have received and replied to both about 2 weeks ago.

If the club is looking for 25,000 new season ticket holders, I wonder if they want anfield/the new stadium to hold around 70k? some of the 25k will be all red members etc so there will be an overlap with tickets they currently sell, but they also want to increase the number of corporate tickets sold.

I think we would sell out 70k easily.

I think we'd sell enough season tickets easily for a 70k stadium. Doesn't mean they'd all turn up for every game though.

got my letter with three references on. Signed up myself and my two sons. Now hope they get on with redevelopment so I can get at least one year on a seson ticket before I die!
