For me Carson has to start learning how to command his area and actually tell his defenders what to do, the vocal side might be because he feels like a bit of a kid trying to boss adults about so maybe will improve with time but the command of his area to me is a huge concern, he just stays rooted to his line most of the time especially on set pieces

Thats not a one off, there was even another one in the same game, Reina just goes for it, on the odd occasion he'll **** up the punch or flap a bit but at least he's there trying to take control of it and 99% of the time does, Carson looks like a lost little boy in that aspect. He doesnt even look like he's concentrating properly either. Other than that he's very good but he's never going to make it at a top club as you have to be very good at everything at least.

Djibril Cisse insists he is enjoying himself at Marseille after making a successful return to action after injury.

The Frenchman is on loan at Marseille from Liverpool until the end of the season after dropping down the pecking order at Anfield.

Cisse returned to action in December after breaking his leg just before last summer's World Cup finals.

The former Auxerre man has impressed on his return, scoring two goals in his three Ligue 1 appearances including the opener in the 2-0 win at Rennes on Sunday.

Cisse hailed midfield duo Franck Ribery and Samir Nasri for making his job easier and he has set his sights on finishing second in Ligue 1 this term

"I joined OM to score," Cisse told the club's official website.

"That is what I do and that is what I am asked to do.

"For the moment it is alright.

"For a striker, playing alongside such a talented player as Franck Ribery is wonderful.

"Samir Nasri and him have given me all the balls and I scored.

"He (Nasri) offers great passes and I hope he will go on like this.

"Samir is very talented.

"He gives you the ball at the right time when you are running, that is a big boost to have such a player.

"With more efforts we can get second in the league."

Meanwhile, Marseille could face a fight for Cisse's signature with Tottenham reported to be keen on signing the French international.

Marseille are thought to be keen on turning Cisse's loan move from Liverpool into a permanent arrangement, but Spurs are monitoring his situation.

Spurs have held a long-term interest in Cisse and tried to sign the speedy striker last January only to see their overtures rebuffed by Liverpool.

It seems highly likely that Liverpool will allow Cisse to leave on a permanent basis in the summer as he does not figure in Rafa Benitez's plans.

Darren Potter is ready to start talking terms with Wolves after the club’s bid for the midfield ace was accepted by Liverpool.

Manager Mick McCarthy has been desperate to tie up a permanent deal for the in-form midfielder, but feared he would be priced out of a deal in the January transfer window.

But the Reds have backed down on their valuation and accepted a bid from Wolves, believed to be in the £200,000 bracket. “I spoke to a few people and the deal was agreed on Friday,” Potter said.

Wolves have agreed a deal with Liverpool for the permanent transfer of Darren Potter.

Liverpool teenager Adam Hammill is primed to join Dunfermline Athletic on loan.

The winger has yet to make his senior debut for The Reds, but is due to head to the SPL for the remainder of the season.

Pars manager Stephen Kenny confirmed the club are pushing through a loan deal for the 18-year-old.

"We have signed two wingers - Jim O'Brien, Bobby Ryan - and are in the process of signing Adam Hammill to give us the cutting edge in wide areas that we need," Kenny told the club's official website.

Hammill, who turns 19 next week, was promoted to the first-team squad from the Academy in February 2006, but is still waiting for his chance under Rafa Benitez.

OK im gonna give you a scout report. I started to watch the match as soon as I knew he was on the pitch. Here goes...

He came on at half time. Dunfermline played a long ball game and lost 1 - 0. There wasn't much passing but he got the ball a few times.

When he got the ball, he ran at the Rangers defenders and beat them every time. He got tackled once, but won a throw. He was putting some good balls into the box. I'd also like to add the Rangers defenders were very physical, moreso than the premiership.

He started off on the left wing but on around 77 mins he went to the right. He looked good on either wing but more dangerous on the right.

He showed quick feet in tight spaces

Looked very strong and out muscled 2 rangers defenders then ran towards the 18 yard box and did a step over and got fouled by a Rangers player - I think it was David Weir the pillock who ****ted him.

The match then finished. He is a big ****er has a good build for a young player, but in a good way. Quite stocky but quick and powerful but not as stocky as Kily Gonzalez or James Milner.

Overall conclusion. Its clear he's got more composure than Mark Gonzalez and can keep the ball like good dribblers of the ball do (similar in the way to Kewell). He has a lot of tricks and a good delivery. I seriously believe this guy is a big talent.

Stoke have revealed they have extended their loan of Liverpool's Senegal international midfielder Salif Diao until the end of the season.

"There's plenty of excitement around the place. He's coming until the end of the season and it's a smashing deal for the club," said Stoke boss Tony Pulis.

"He will improve what we've got and that's what we're looking to do.

Don't know if this has been mentioned elsewhere but we've terminated David Manix's contract by mutual consent. Seems a bit odd that we didn't ask a fee for him, but he's off the books now. Not much left in the way of deadwood for Rafa to clear out now.
