The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
Depressing stat it is but Cole wouldn't have scored that many in that team.
FWIW I like Cole, think he's a good egg, just not good enough for what we are trying to achieve.
I know it sounds silly, but I was having a conversation with a Red mate of mine a few days ago about Cole.
What if - and it's probably rubbish - but do you wonder what Cole's first season would've been like if he hadn't got sent off against Arsenal and missed that penalty a few days later? Probably a silly thing but does anyone think it'd have been a different result for him and us?
****ing disgusting, you should be banned for mentioning that.
Although I almost bumped a Roy thread tonight, randomly (I was browing the LFC victorious in court thread). Not for any particular reason, merely to give him some abuse and question how on earth he was allowed to manage our club.

Not a silly what if, thought it myself before BUT he would still have had to work with the bodge so the outcome would have been similar IMO.
FWIW I think h could offer us something this season of he stays

Yup, Bodge and scoring that penalty wouldn't have stopped his legs from going or changed his fitness level.
It just seems that his head (and form) dipped that day, and then dipped further and further and further.
I think Cole would do better under Rodgers - he was a very good player between 2002-2008 - but I just don't think he can cut it in the PL anymore. Which is sad really.
What are we trying to achieve? Higher than eighth I hope.
. Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
I see Cole is getting a lot of criticism, but I didn't think he did that bad. He played some part in the goal and put in the best cross of the game. Didn't notice him doing that much wrong, although he could have been more involved.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

He put in one beautiful cross. But other than that his contribution was shockingly bad and he just looked totally knackered. And you are spot on - he didn't do much wrong as he just didn't get involved. Compare his attitude/ performance yesterday with that of Shelvey.
