that's the one that set me off Houllier & Parry!...God I was Livid!...All because of Parry going on the word of David Dein who apparantly told him that his brothers, who were agents at that time, were difficult to deal with...Dein must have pissed himself laughing doing Arsenal a favour by stopping a fierce rival strenghtening an already formidable strike force barring Heskey!

Anelka was playing out of his skin, he mentioned that he found his football home & wanted to stay on...Ok, Fowler mentioned in his autobiography that he was aloof & wouldn't pass the ball...Poor Anelka probably didn't understand Scouse!

Diouf didn't impress me at all as was more impressed with his strike partner who's name I've forgotten as he seems to be a more powerful forward.

Beware of players who have had good world cups as they seem to be flash in the pan stuff!

Anyhow, live & let learn...I do remember Laudrup nearly signing for us & being gutted he signed for Juve as he was sensational at an international vs Rep of Ireland back in the early 80's so after that kept tabs on the guy! No surprise that Barca came in for him...
