all of these are without a doubt winnable and we're on good form as well if we get to 62 points (3 wins and a draw) I think 5th is ours.

We the pressure is now on Spurs if we win today we go ahead of them on goal difference, they'll have a game in hand but we still have to play them. That will be the decider, you'd have to imagine. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

It is great to know that we control the keys for the rest of the season.
Getting 5th would be an amazing achievement remembering that few months ago we were on the bottom of the table without any hopes to compete for European spots.
Great job Kenny!

I really can't decide if its a good or bad thing when we get 5th and spurs end up out of Europe.
We'll have that ****e thursday football to "look forward" to and they'll be only concerned with getting back in the champions league.
Suppose it depends on the business we do in the summer if we can make a good fist at the top 1 next season while playing that ****e on thursdays.

simply for revenue it makes sense with the FFP rules coming in.Originally posted by PoolG View PostI really can't decide if its a good or bad thing when we get 5th and spurs end up out of Europe.

FFP makes it important, but if we get a draw in the group stage like we did this year we can give the kids that have done well some games: Flanagan, Robinson, Shelvey, plus give chances to the likes of Coady, Wisdom, Sterling, Suso etcThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

If things stay as they are league wise, I don't think Spurs will be a CL concern for us in future.Originally posted by PoolG View PostI really can't decide if its a good or bad thing when we get 5th and spurs end up out of Europe.

Completely agreeOriginally posted by anfieldanfield View PostBeing in the Europa League would be a big plus for many reasons.
Even if we don't get it, I think it's amazing how well we've done to get into this position. Our victories haven't just been scrappy one-nillers either. Kenny

I wonder if the Bitters could do us a favour next weekend by beating them. If that somehow happens and Spurs go and win at eastlands, then it'll be quite funny.

Beating Fulham away and then Tottenham at home could be a big ask but I feel with the form we are on its definitely possible. With Tottenham still to play Man City away I think 5th is definitely achievable. I stand by Dalglish on the subject of europe. Even if it is europa league it is still important and its a sign of how we have improved.
