The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Am I the only one who wants Man City to win tonight ?

There's no way we'll finish 4th and a Man City win this eve would pretty much guarantee EL football.

        Nope, want City to lose.

For us getting 4th, City need to lose games. So wanting them to win is a bit bizarre - it's like you want the opposite of what COULD somehow get us 4th

          I think so

A Spurs win could allow us to get 4th

Cant see us getting 4th, but think we will steal 5th. Euro Disney is better than nothing and players will see it as a European competition. It will help attract a slightly better bracket of player.

Having said that Id rather players like Suarez came in who could see the bigger picture, and want to help the club get there, insted of players who will only come when were there.

If Spurs win they'll really fancy themselves again for 4th and come to Anfield all guns blazing on Sunday.

There's no way Man City will fail to win one of their last two games.

It doesnt matter what Spurs fancy, we're **** hot at Anfield and they're just ****.

I dont think you can say there's 'no way' of much, to be honest. In the circumstances, City are entirely liable to **** things up.

All of this is irrelevant anyway. Spurs wont win tonight.

If Man City lose tonight and then win on Saturday in the FA cup they've got to play Stoke again on the Tuesday who'll want revenge and could get something.

Would leave them needing a win in the last game of the season, away to Bolton - stranger things have happened.

Whichever way the cup final goes, it'll have an impact. A City win and they might be 'on holiday' in the league game vs Stoke. A Stoke win will be a massive blow for City and the hangover could carry over.

I'd rather Stoke won the cup because that'll seriously delate City and their fans who've been waiting 35 years for a trophy

The key is tonight though, none of the future stuff matters a jot if Spurs **** up tonight. Which, unfortunately, is what i think will happen.

Exactlly. Until it is mathematically impossible (most likely after tonight ) I refuse to give up hope.

                        Come on you Spurs.

I hope spurs do come out all guns blazing at Anfield. We'll rip them a new one. A hattrick of hattricks for maxi

Given the personalities at City, a loss at spurs could see them wobble, if that is followed with a loss/draw next, then I can see the possibility of them choking.

Lots of ifs and buts, but while there's a chance we should all be praying for it. Coming 4th instead of 5th is a much bigger step than getting into the EL or not. Come on you spurs!!

Tonight is key, City have daylight at the moment and the more that diminishes, the bigger the pressure will get. They'll be dead keen to get it wrapped up tonight and be able to fully concentrate on the FA Cup. By the same token, they may well also be keen to avoid injuries for the cup final. Team selection will be interesting.

But tonight's game is the key one, we really need Spurs to step up to the plate, as City will see this as a golden chance to put it all to bed before the pressure really gets piled on. Tevez will be on the bench tonight.
