How many times have we played well under Kenny ? Five games I make it.

If Hiddink had come in and done the same thing, everyone would have said, "yeah, he's done alright, taken up the league, but we've crashed out the Europa League and we're still incredibly vulnerable away from home."
No, you would have said that

I'd have said it's nothing better or worse than a steady start and that I wouldn't have expected our problems to have been eradicated in such a short space of time anyway.

Fact of the matter is any concerns about Kenny not being good enough need to be based on more than the results we've had in this short period, because they represent a marked improvement. You'd have to be surmising another manager would have done much better, for instance, or that our tactics and approach under him were likely to take us nowhere, or even just going off the basis that you never thought he was the man for the job in the first place.

Do you honestly think that anybody including your hero Jose would be able to do any better with the ****ty, weak and thin squad we have?

      I don't think so.

He did as good as he could under the circumstances or better. He had very little input on the structure of this team and that has to be taken into a consideration. Sure our form and results have been extremely inconsistent but that has nothing to do with his abilities as the manager.

Let's wait to see what he can do, if he stays in charge, after we drastically improve our squad in the summer before we start passing a judgement if he is good enough to lead us or not.

I never said i want him over Kenny. I've already said i prefer Kenny.

But Mourinho has won so much because he is a brilliant manager, not just because of money - others have had money and won **** all. He won stuff - because he's superb.

Mourinho won't come to Liverpool so there's no point even mentioning him as a possible candidate.

Is that the same as how Lucas was leaving for £3m? Or how we'd be better off without Gerrard yesterday?

You're on for the match ball.

I think it's a bit of both with Mourinho, he's a top, top manager but the cash has helped as well - one thing you can see though is he's very good at spending the money well and buying the right players.

From one of the most clueless people on here that can only be taken as a compliment, so thanks.

Yeah, that didn't really help dispel the idea.

Why would I try and dispel your opinion of me? I dont know you and thankfully never will. Is it you that is actually a "bit mental"?

Absolutely agree, of course the cash helps a lot, but it's easy to spend a lot of cash and still fail, as many have shown. You're right about him being good at buying the right players, and this is obviously a massively key component in a manager's makeup, which ultimately plays a major part in whether a manager is a success or not.

problem with Mourinho is he's short term option and he's not exactly endeared himself with the Anfield faithful!

Both valid points, both also have a valid response.

                                1) Short term he is, but which of us would rule out the prospect of a coach staying a short period, but winning us the title in that time?

                                2) He's not exactly a favourite with us lot, but you can bet he would be if he won a league title for LFC.
