You've made a mountain out of a molehill, as ever.Originally posted by Marsh View Postwhere do i begin well lets keep it simple. had a quick look back on this thread and you seem to think pointing out the negatives about Rafa is nit picking. Some may say balanced. sorry something as easy as that is obviously patronising. If you dont want to acknowledge his failings fine but he has them and stop being a little childish when someone does acknowledge them and trying to say its patronising. of course its more intelligent to go Rafa is great and got nothing wrong, then the other side can go he was **** etc. Thats been really intelligent and has been great to read on here.
the debate some of us less myopic than yourself are having is that he has fallen out with more than one owner infact has fallen out with 3 at his last three clubs and some people (stupid i know) but form the opinion he may have handled it better and that may have benefited him and the clubs he has worked at. however your right Rafa is god Rafa is **** is a much more intelligent debate.
I don't know where you get the impression that I think that 'Rafa is god' in this thread. Ah, maybe because I use superlatives such as
in some posts made you think I was.
Why would you try to balance out arguments against Rafa in the first place? He has deserved that people cut him a bit of slack, just for doing what he did for the club, especially the way he has embraced the Liverpool way, which for a foreigner is not an easy thing to do. That's what I meant by being nit-picky.
It's obvious he has failings but I've not seen many people picking our failings out of Kenny, Shankly, Paisley and the likes. Are we winning?

i dont i try to take the bad and the good. its not hard to do. its bizzare that even though i say i like rafa think he was and is a good manager who shouldnt of left that somehow its wrong to acknowledge he has failings.Originally posted by NigelLG View PostYou've made a mountain out of a molehill, as ever.

still think your nit picky is a bit myopic.
i have said that i think the King has failings i would also admit that Shanks did not sure about Paisleys though.

Is concentrating on the positives of an individual, exhibit characteristics akin to myopia? I don't think so.Originally posted by Marsh View Posti dont i try to take the bad and the good. its not hard to do. its bizzare that even though i say i like rafa think he was and is a good manager who shouldnt of left that somehow its wrong to acknowledge he has failings.

I have moved on for a long time, don't know why some people are so willing to bring this debate on time and again. It's been done to death. Are we winning?

Well, yes I don't know why I could be arsed arguing about it again and again. I just seem to get embroiled in this pointless debate at times.Originally posted by Marsh View Postand why your so willing to contribute
looking at only one side of an argument isnt myopic
well thats a new one .
Looking on the bright side of things isn't myopic no, not when the positives far outweigh the negatives. You'd have to be a pretty moaning and senseless type of bloke to be nit picky about Rafa. Are we winning?

not in the slightest myopic. well if you change the definition of myopic that is.Originally posted by NigelLG View PostWell, yes I don't know why I could be arsed arguing about it again and again. I just seem to get embroiled in this pointless debate at times.

and that post highlights why i mentioned you in a post a few posts back.
you could argue you have to be a fool to ignore a mans failings.

good ideaOriginally posted by Angryred View PostCan one of the mods put the 2/3 pages of this thread into the Rafa Watch thread in case someone forgot, as I do recall this one was about Dalglish!
if you say so.Originally posted by NigelLG View PostThat's pretty ironic of you, talking about balance?

Do you really think that if Ferguson had stood up to Glazer, Glazer would be the one to go? Glazer would have either sacked Ferguson or made it difficult for Ferguson to work there forcing him to resign/retire. Yes that might be unpopular with the fans, but Glazer is in it to make money IMO he wouldn't let Fergsuon stand in the way of that.Originally posted by Arn View PostCompare that with Fergie who is very much a yes man that is to afraid to challenge Glazer. He is the biggest reason to why Glazer hasn't sold up yet IMO.
If he had challenged them then they would have been gone without any doubt at all but he don't want to risk his job doing it.
Rafa challenged our board and helped us to get rid of them. The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Nothing personal, I just think you're terribly patronising and completely miss my point. I can show you examples of the irony I've mentioned in earlier as well.Originally posted by Marsh View Postif you say so.
lets not try to make this personal nigey eh.
But, let's leave this thread with the topic at hand. Are we winning?

feel free to pm the irony though. always interesting to see the gap between what i think i am saying and what people read. though i accept in politics i dont show balance even though there is some in my thinking
