It's football, so anything is possible. It's not like what people have proposed is impossible. Could Liverpool win the remaining games? Of course they could. Is it likely? No.Originally posted by danperkins View Post

The old knee jerking is rife on here
But if the other teams keep ****ing up as they ahve done, then of course people will keep thinking the impossible is possible.Forwards.......

Very true dan, but realistically your talking an absolute total and utter capitulation from two very good teams and us winning most of our games.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostIt's football, so anything is possible. We have our chances to take advantage several times and we haven't done so, we put in some phenomenal performances against the top sides but don't seem to be able to take that intensity and enthusiasm into the games with the lesser sides, it's very frustrating but what seems typical Liverpool F.C. of recent years.
IMO it's an impossible mission

There isn't one person that disagrees. People simply suggest that IF we play to our best and IF the other two bottle it, there's still a slight chance.Originally posted by danperkins View PostVery true dan, but realistically your talking an absolute total and utter capitulation from two very good teams and us winning most of our games.

I think everyone also agrees it's highly unlikely.
Betting Odds anyone?

I can see us getting 5th spot if Spurs **** up royally and we win majority of our remaining games but 4th place, although mathematically possible, imo is not within our reach.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostIt's football, so anything is possible. With so few games left and us playing "Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde" type of football almost weekly it is very unlikely that we will do any better than 6th but miracles do happen from time to time.

Unless you have a knee shaped like a penis and you're an American.Originally posted by Buzzo View PostCan I just have it put on the record I ****ing loathe the term 'knee jerking'.
It is a truly atrocious phrase. Something can be a 'knee jerk' reaction yes, but referring to people as knee jerkers, or that they are knee jerking. No.
Or you have a very wobbly knee. Was muß, das muß.

4th spot is a pipe dream IMO, we are just not at the point where we will secure maximum points in the remaining games. The same optimism popped up after the united game to be squashed by WBA the game after. We will do well against arsenal and spurs but I'm afraid we will loose points to the smaller sides, that we still have a hard time opening up.
My hope right now is that we get the 5th spot which is not totally unlikely, but will still be an uphill struggle. It's normally said that you have a chance as long as the point tally is smalle than the amount of games yet to be played, and with 8 points and 6 games to fourth it's almost impossible. Fifth will by the same meassurement be very hard to get.

spurs look like they will struggle to score.....
man City look like they will struggle to even talk to each other on the pitch.....a good hockeying by united this weekend will well and truly leave them on the ropes gasping for air.....
I reckon if we beat arsenal though, it might actually work against us......we want arse to beat spurs next week too - and if they lose to us, then their heads will be down......
I can actually see chelsea lose to wba this weekend too......
