Does that mean they're after a new commercial director to replace Ayre?

quite happy for this to have happened and the way it's been done - taken their time, searched the market for an MD and after a few months of looking into it decided the best man was already at the club.

Sensible and what seems to be thorough in their approach.

So far I've been pretty damn impressed with the way FSG have gone about things, still early days but light years ahead of the previous regime!

This is an example of the over saturated, sensationalist coverage football gets. Who gives a **** about the MD and Director of Football in real terms, as long as the manager gets to sign who he needs and Suarez keeps putting the ball in the net. We wouldn't have given a flying one about the suits behind the scenes before Sky reinvented football. Complete non story.

I know what you mean, but the reality is football has changed, so it does and should matter to us. Anything else is blind nostalgia. Their decisions will be hugely important as to our success long term.

I'm not sure it has received an awful lot of coverage anyway. For instance, if you go on the BBC site's LFC page, the main story is that we may be getting a few players back from injury soon.

kenny and comolli will be colleagues with different jobs who work together. what's hard to understand about that? comolli says "what about him? dalglish says "nah, " they move on.

dalglish says "i want to do this" or "get him," comolli says "nah," they move on again.

point is everyone needs to agree on what we want, who we need, and where we're going. if they do it right, it increases the clarity of our vision.
