Rafa. He gave us hope. He is one of us.
      Never knowingly optimistic

I think under FSG he'd complete the job, but for a multitude of reasons it's not going to happen. I wouldn't rule out a return in 5-10 years or so, though.
What are these reasons Shaggy as i'm a little no offence intended bud

It's not gonna happen is it. Do you really think there's a chance?

Too much baggage, too divisive an appointment, too many players in the squad he left behind with....er...let's say issues with him (allegedly)...and maybe some other stuff.

I don't think he'd even be on any shortlist that may or may not exist.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

            Hmmmm, maybe...

Villa Boas surely knows that he'll never win the Champions League with Porto and what Mourinho did with them was an absolute one-off.

If he wins the League and Europa League with Porto this season he might be tempted by a club in England or Spain.

I'd want Villas Boas and have for sometime. He's the next top coach in Europe.

In fact, if he was available this summer I'd be tempted to get him ahead of Kenny, as I wouldn't want him joining another top club and us missing out. As it happens I think Kenny will get the job and in a couple of years time or so the job will go to Deschamps.
              Forwards.......

thing is i think the owners or any owners would think hard before appointing Rafa. he has had problems with owners at more than one club. Whilst i think he was right too i am not totally sure owners would see it the same. put that with the history and it being not long ago i really cant see rafa being back soon.
