So taking a 3 ton vehicle out on the streets whilst intoxicated is any better or worse ? ala Firms last year.

How many on here advocated getting rid of him for jeopardising lives last year.......?

By all means punish him but I'd rather he's educated than thrown out of the door to the mob...

Personally, I put endangering people lower down the pole than actually attacking and injuring someone, not that either is acceptable.

I think we were probably more sympathetic to Suarez on his biting spree too.

There is a clear and important difference in those two scenarios you compare - the deliberate intent to cause harm.

Such a comparison downplays the seriousness of domestic violence.

I also highly doubt he did so because he was ignorant of how to treat another human. What sort of man doesn't know that hitting a woman is wrong? Not sure education therefore helps.

Doubt he'll be left for the mob either having surely already banked a pretty penny from football. Will most likely just drift off into footballing obscurity.

I get your point that players of differing levels of quality receive different levels of punishment or calls for punishment from fans but if this had have been Luis suarez or Roberto Firmino I'd say the same.

One man's moral stand it's another's virtue signal, I guess it depends where you're coming at it from.

I’d imagine there is a clause around behaviour that may bring the name and reputation of the club into disrepute, then it’s up to the club as to when they want to apply it.

I abhor both, thus both should be subjected to the same disciplinary conduct.

I dont think either set out to cause harm, both were subjected to drink and made idiotic choices. FWIW both domestic violence and drink driving are abhorrent, both can kill, mane and injure and as such should carry prison sentences.

Do we know if his Missus was seriously injured in the attack ?

He's a big man, fit and strong, he could have done some bad physical damage there under the influence and angry.

We've had a few on our books who would dispute this.

Kicking a football is very different from martial arts kicks. Take it from me, I’m wanna at footy. You’re right of course- someone on the floor is a different kettle of fish - you just have to watch Cliffhanger.

On a more serious note, I just don’t get how you hit girls. I’ve had exes drive me absolutely insane, but you end up hitting the nearest inanimate object, not them no matter who’s they’ve done.
                                3rd place. Worst champions ever.
