Given the players we were after in January (e.g. Adam, Young etc.) it is pretty obvious that we were thinking that way from day # 1 and we will sign the players to bring the best out of him.

He sure is not a player that can create chances and make something out of nothing on his own.

The game being dead means absolutely nothing. It should be more incentive for him to add to his goal tally with both teams really easing the pressure. Strikers want to score goals no matter what.

Err it clearly does!! The other players had done their job and basically stopped. What's he meant to do? If you expect Carroll to get the ball, beat 6 players and score all the time then you're going to be seriously disappointed.
