A lot of posters have Gerrard automatically in the team for next season, which is fair enough, their opinion, but i don't know how any player could walk straight back into that team with the form their own at the moment.

Yet when Arn questions his inclusion and gives his reasons for doing so, he's asked to stop the so-called Anti-Gerrard business.

The preferential treatment seems to be allowed, but when someone has the audacity to say maybe Gerrard shouldn't be an automatic pick next season, it gets shot down in flames. Funny that.

How on earth can you claim that as a 'FACT?'

Loved it after Kenny's press conference, when they cut back to the studio and Gerrard was cracking up laughing - he's clearly loving it under Kenny.

Gerrard playing for Kenny is the first name down every single week.
I haven't always been his biggest fan and thought his (SG's) treatment of Rafa come the end was disgraceful and out of order.

However he knows Kenny, trusts him and has seen the sessions with Steve Clarke, seen the performances without himself, Carroll, Agger and Kelly in the team and he knows this is his last genuine chance to win the PL with us.
He's 30 now so this next cycle with Kenny in charge is realistically it for him as a top player.

It has been mentioned before but this really is a massive, pivitol summer for us. Sign a minimum of a left back, centre back and wide player who are proven and would improve our starting XI.
Get Lucas and Suarez, maybe Maxi through the Copa thing without any injuries, Carroll through the U21's and have a kind fixture list for the 1st month or so of the season and we will be absolutely flying.

Although I generally believe in playing a player on merit, imagine a fired up, happy Gerrard in that team! As someone else has already said (apologies - can't remember who), if Kenny can get someone like Spearing, or Maxi to raise their game by 15 - 20%, then he could get Gerrard back to being the best player in the league.
Anyways, as much as I love speculating abut possible line-up, tactics, etc., I have complete faith in whatever Kenny decides!

You could see how Gerrard's level went up a notch every time we bought a classy player that he trusted in.

When Alonso came Gerrard increased his game a notch and with Torres' arrivial he almost hit top gear.

It'd be interesting to see how he operates now that we've Suarez (who Gerrard kinda started to <3 ) and Carroll who can make use of some of those stinging Stevie's crosses from open play.

With a couple of wingers we could potentially see Gerrard do even better than what he did in 08-09 when Zidane said Stevie was the best player back then.

Gerrard is still one of the world's best, who would grace any midfield. Yes we are playing well at the moment, but Stevie will take us to a higher level. Can't believe people still doubt him. The guy is a Liverpool legend.

Gerrard hasn't had an outstanding match once either this season or last. If he ever got to top form again he would of course be one of the world's best, but the evidence of the last two seasons suggests it's unikely
