He's had 3 go's at this now, as as far as i'm aware he is yet to bite anyone hard enough to break skin, surely that tells us something about the true intent here.

It's a silly thing to do obviously, unacceptable, but it's unacceptableness has to be kept in context, as i say, he is yet to really physically hurt anyone.

Everyone has differing opinions on how bad they think it is, some based soley on the act, some based on how much damage he actually does to his 'victims', and how much intent they think there is to do so.

edit: so it's 6 matches then ? That will infuriate a lot of people, but most of them i don't like anyway.

What about LFC though, there will be massive pressure for us to take our own action, wonder how JH will play this.

It was a studs up, two footed, in the air tackle into the knee.

And it was a deserved red card.

But yes, I agree the bite is worse.

I don't think Valencias was a red, I also don't think it was worse than the bite.

I do however think some of Diego Costas aimed headbutts, and also the Fellaini elbow against stoke(?) are both as bad

But no one is arguing he shouldn't be punished James - just that it should be proportional to the punishment for those other transgressions. Which clearly the reactions thus far aren't.

I think the level of outrage over an elbow or a hard, intentional foul is about 1,000,000 times less than the hysterics about Suarez biting. So, yes, none of them are good, but one is being treated as "cannibalism" and while the rest is "what happens when you play football". So, I agree; FIFA should punish him and it should be an international ban for violent conduct on par with what he's done. The rest feels like absolute hysteria or intellectually dishonest journalists who love other English clubs winding everyone up to sell papers and feign outrage when, had THEIR own players done something egregious, they would be making their own excuses. I'm not making excuses for him. If we sell him, fine-- get proper value and invest it in the team. But the hysteria is laughable.

Don't think anyone here is claiming he's innocent. Just want the punishment when it comes to fit the crime,unlike the English media it appears.
