He's hardly taking the piss out of us either, infact given his supposed wages and what we get from him you could argue its the club taking the piss out of him!
Not even half a season is hardly a permanent grudge. If he's learned, then great, but I'll hold off joining in the Suarez circle jerk until the summer at least.

i reckon we will sneak CL football for next year. will this be enough to make suarez stay... who knows. he might then feel he has done his bit for us and we then owe him his freedom to move. at least he could then part on friendly terms.

Q; why does brendan always refer to luis [lew-ees] as louis [lou-ie]
Because it's a Spanish name not a French one and the Spanish words are more phonetically pronounced...

And what is this unforgivable crime that he has committed?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Thankfully Brendan took his GTA IV off him.

Fair enough, we don't agree. It seems that a few goals mean anyone can be forgiven of anything. Personally, I'm not in that camp.

Will be interesting to read this thread again, when Luis does leave (whenever that is).

Paulg - what you're saying is almost certainly the rational way of thinking. The problem is, football fans are not exactly known for being rational, and approximately 97.3% of them are completely and utterly fickle. I include myself in that number.

Now when it comes to having to dig deep to find a way of forgiving a player who is undoubtedly one of the best ever to play for their team, and currently one of the top three in the world - well it's pretty easy to do to be honest

I love the guy and all is forgiven.

Mate, I absolutely don't deny his talent, influence skill, and raw ability to get me screaming when he tears through yet another quality defence. He is one of the best ever to play for us, up near the very top of that short list too.

Can't stop myself celebrating through gritted teeth though, and thinking "great player, but a ****ing prick". :-D

Please find it in your heart to forgive at this most special time of the year.

I've nothing to forgive. Transfers are part of football and Suarez isn't the first nor will he be the last footballer looking for a transfer. I guess I just wasn't as offended as most.

Equally when judging him as a person, I stuck to comments from those who know him who all unanimously seemed to agree that he's a great person off the pitch.

It's the Spanish form of the French name, Louis. Pronounced the same. Think the origin stems from Latin.
