Ok, I just read that thread for the first time and I see what you're alluding to.

The only thing I would add is that you were the one talking about morals. Quite a lot. Nobody else was. But when people reacted to that you didn't much like it. So yeah, if you're gonna make a moral argument against something most people don't see as a moral issue (it isn't btw), then of course you'll be labelled as the moral police. It goes with the territory.

Wow. I love hearing little snippets about the behind-the-scenes-stuff. I would have thought they would appreciate the free publicity, but I can't say I'm that clued up on copyright.

Yeah, ridiculous really seeing the context but I suspect much of the complaining is automatic, some big social sites deal with thousands of these daily, its the first we've had for something like this. If it becomes a major problem we'll have a discussion as a site about it and possible solutions
