I feel fooled for a third time now because of all the support we have given this guy he still wants to chuck that loyalty in our face, if that were not the case he would have repaid that loyalty and issued a statement showing his commitment at least for one more season, i believe we were owed that at least.

Another thing annoys me about this guy is that he does not see his failing as maybe one of the reasons we did not qualify for CL football, having his overpaid ass sit on the bench because of his indiscretions not to mention the effect he would have on us (or the arsenal) at the start of the current campaign.

If he stays (IF) i will cheer every goal he scores for us, i will enjoy his excellent skills, i will praise him if he helps get us back into CL football but as a person i will never regard him as someone i would be proud to say wore the Liverpool shirt.
Personally, I don't think I would be so peeved about the lack of loyalty thing if he had at least stuck to the "intolerable life in England, want to move abroad" line he seemed to have taken right through his time back in Uruguay. Most of it would have been self-inflicted of course, but I could still have understood if he had decided it wasn't really all worth the hassle in the UK anymore.

However, and I still am incredulous that this might actually be true, what seems now to be a genuine desire to entertain moving to Arsenal does feel like a real slap in the face to the fans and the club, both of whom have put their reputations on the line defending the guy (and been damaged as a result).

2 months ago this seemed somewhat weak, yet possible to have sympathy with. Now it just seems a bit insulting frankly.

I love Liverpool, but if there is a chance of playing somewhere else... I suffered too much as a kid to get where I am to be attacked unfairly by the English press. They haven’t appreciated me as a player, they’ve just judged my attitude.
Right now I'd be quite happy if this circus was over and done with. 2 whole months of this **** has just been too much. I'd even take ~£35m from Madrid, despite it being £20m under what it should be, just to get it all over and done with. You're right though, I'd also still cheer his goals if he stuck around (not that I believe he will) but that's about it. I fear in a few years time our abiding memories of him will be the controversies and the messy way he left rather than his undeniable and extraordinary talent, and in a way that is rather sad really.

Re: the black and white comment, as I said it I noticed that it was a little literal (ha) but didn't really remark on it as it didn't seem appropriate

Luckily my brother is a reasonable chap and he came to apologise for acting like such a tit. I pulled out the FA report and showed him both sides of the story, and how nothing is proven or conclusive. He admitted he didn't have a complete version of the story, and apologised again.

Nevertheless, still got really upset about it. It's really a tough situation to be in. You find yourself asking if it's really worth it to be so loyal to a football team when there are questions of racism and morality involved, but then you also find yourself saying that, given the lack of evidence, there was nothing else the club could've done (maybe the shirts were a bit tacky......).

You really do articulate your points so well Mr M.
As Mr Suarez has so successfully demonstrated with the help of his agent there is not a lot loyalty left in the game. Where there is ££££ there are people who walk over their own family to get more. It's called greed. His agent wants him to move so he can make more money and will be advising him what route to take next. He doesn't care about Suarez reputation he cares about money.
        Go **** yourself

Let him take us to court. It will fail. Leave him warm the bench for a season or play with the reserves to try and beat mellors reserve scoring record till a continental club comes in for him next year

Wow. When he came round to say sorry for upsetting you, your first instinct is to whip out the full fa report?! Where from / Where do you keep it? Why do you have it?

Suarez is a great player, but he's like the majority of footballers these days, an overpaid egotastic spoilt cunt. Not worth getting upset over. Not worth defending so vehemently, he doesn't care, why should we?

Hope you feel better today, watch Gerrard smile later. That should help.

Yeah, hope he doesn't get booed today - but I've gotta bad feeling he will be. Plus I don't want any distractions from the fact that it is Stevie's day.

It's possible with the kind of casual and young fans who are more likely to go to preseason friendly games. I expect it won't happen though.

the problem with suarez is like other players with bad reputations he's guilty before the facts come out.

A lot of it is self inflicted and its hard to feel too sorry for a player that continuously plays on the edge of whats fair and frequently goes over it. A lot of people who dont know anything about football dislike suarez because of the evra incident not knowing what a ****bag evra is.

however, if suarez did racially abuse evra (which i dont think he did but thats my opinion) then he's an idiot. there's no place for that in todays game and players of all backgrounds have made football richer and more interesting.

but as for defending suarez, i dont bother. even if he's innocent he's still guilty and defending him is like defending joey barton, just dont waste your time.

Don't think it's very likely, but expect it to be referenced in some reports tomorrow.
