His kid might have been sick, he could have given up his seat for an old friend of Stevie's who managed to make it at the last minute, he could have been knackered after all the jetting about over the summer, he could have thought it was about Stevie not him and stayed away to avoid attention and just misjudged it, him and Stevie may hate each other away from the pitch, he could be on his way out, he could be sulking, he may have simply not been invited, he may have been going away and cancelled it.
Any number of reasons, it's pointless trying to read anything into it.
The only thing it actually indicates is that he didn't attend the dinner.

Exactly.
It's just my guess he is sulking. Deal with it Chris.

All logic would point towards Suarez staying until the January window. Think about it. He will be free for CL competition and the relevant clubs will know if they have qualified for the knockout stage. Furthermore Suarez and LFC will know where LFC stands in regards to qualifying next year and will be able to make a much better judgement call.
It makes PERFECT sense for Suarez to stay until January - at least.
We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold.
People who don't usually talk out of their arse like Bascombe have said he wasn't, so that one seems likely.
Honestly though, I find it all a bit unfortunate that anything to do with Gerrard's testimonial was overshadowed by the Suarez thing, as has been said above perhaps he decided / agreed to stay away so as not to divert more attention from the purpose of the event. Besides, Stevie G has had tons and tons of teammates over his career at Anfield, Luis has really not even been a major part of that (they can't have played more than about 50 games together you'd think), not sure Luis' attendance (or not) would be a particularly relevant or important thing.
It's a weird stance to take, criticising one of our best players based on complete guesswork but typical of your miserable outlook.
Based on his history of engineering ways out of clubs I don't think it is a bad guess, and I could not care less if it was our worst or best player. But then I am not a superfan like you.
I can just picture you sitting there in your full Liverpool kit typing away. Full kit ******.

I can imagine going through all this bull**** again in January.
