and how does Suarez fit in with the respecting the club bit?

I really hope I see suarez with a liver bird on his chest next year.
      Same here.

It's going to take a long, long time before we see again a player of Luis qualities.

I really would like to see what we can do with Luis in the team and few good first team additions and especially would like to see him play for Liverpool in CL.

Any player who has been sent off for three incidents of violent conduct has set precedent for what a third offence should be.
But there is no precedent for a player committing THIS offence three times. The fact that you consider it the same offence as a headbutt or elbow is neither here nor there because FIFA and the vast majority of the rest of the world see it differently. Hence the punishment.

You can't argue that Suarez biting someone is the same as anyone committing any other offence three times, because its clearly a different, unprecedented issue.

Jesus christ who's fault is it that Liverpool FC are in this situation!?

Um. I can. I have. And I will continue to do so.

The fact that the majority of the rest of the world is prepared to tolerate multiple kicks/elbows/headbutts/stamps/kicks says a ****ing hell of a lot more about them than it does about me.

yes & no; I have never seen a better player in a red shirt ( I am 45 so have seen KK forward) & I agree that it shouldn't count but it does.

Yes Liverpool has suffered, but then so have many clubs with genius but damaged talent, Best, gazza, maradonna; Christ even Charlie George, Rodney marsh, frank Worthington, the list is endless. All amazing footballers that suffered a genetic/mad flaw; but still to this day talked about (unless you believe football only started with skyTV)

I hope to see Luis run out of the tunnel 1st game next season in red

Yet you think biting should be treated less severely? Odd, but fair enough.

So in closing... Headbutt, stamp, elbow etc not treated harshly enough. 3 times biting an opponent and the treatment is too harsh.

I disagree but that's the beauty of opinions.

                    No it doesn't.

This is what happens when fans see a player as bigger than the club. I vehemently disagree with everything you've said. It's a sad day when supporters think like this

Suarez is one of those special, ****-me-I-love-I-hate-him players. Clearly he loves the club and loves playing for us, but clearly he's a nutter too, and he has disrespected the club through his actions by seemingly not taking the club into account in all of this. Where is his 'I let my club and country down'?

I'll support him again if he continues to wear the colors on match day, but as for now, I don't have much in the tank to support him. My club is getting all my support and sympathy especially after his **** up.

that's it though, I agree he has screw loose & of course he wasn't thinking of LFC that moment; but IMO if we lose him now it'll be a long long time before we see that much talent in a red shirt again.

lets face it, the man the whole of football holds up as the Bastian of football (SAF) stood 100% behind cantona , stood behind Keane for that tackle, stood behind giggs thru the shagging, stood by rio through the JT/AF racial stuff, Christ even stood by whiteside & McGrath in the early years & never waivered.... I didn't do him any harm ?

Suarez doesn't get a free pass for what he's done. He's a monumental tit. But the sanctions aren't fair. They are not fair on him and they are not fair on us. That is where I take issue. If he had been given a lengthy ban for his country and a stipulation that he sought help then fair enough, you'd have no complaints from me. I don't understand why he does what he does and I very much doubt he knows himself. Simply banning him from all forms of the game for 4 months is just going to alienate him and possibly even make his temperament ever more unstable. For me the punishment doesn't solve the issue, if anything it exacerbates it.

Yeah Suarez probably does get more support than some other players, but then I can't think of a player who tries harder or wants to win more when he's in playing in a red shirt. It works both ways.
