    Anyway...
I personally don't connect morals and football all that tightly.

    1. When Man Utd first started dominating the domestic game under Ferguson they bullied and intimidated referees all the time. No morals there.

    2. When Chelsea and more recently Man City bought success using rich individuals with endless amounts of oil money. No morals there.

    3. When Real Madrid and Barcelona selfishly strike tv deals for themselves leaving them even further ahead of the other Spanish teams. No morals there.

Football and morals have always had only a very loose connection. It's a win at all costs sport (especially since the evil Murdoch got involved with the game with the advent of Sky tv money).

In respect of Suarez, if Real or Barca offer £60m for him I think LFC should accept it.

He's been with us 3 seasons and will have been banned 3 times for long periods

    We should cut our losses.

Suarez's excuse is second only to Ged's excuse that Robbie was 'chewing the grass'.

[B]Luis Suarez wanted out of Liverpool BEFORE his latest bite controversy at the World Cup

Luis Suarez has had direct talks with Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers since his expulsion from the World Cup.

The controversial Uruguay star, banned for four months by FIFA after the third biting scandal of his career, is now in Montevideo. Boss Rodgers assured Suarez he has his backing.

However, Anfield insiders have revealed the club were prepared for another summer of Suarez agitating for a move to La Liga – even before his World Cup exit last week.

The lengthy ban has not changed the view of Liverpool’s American owners, who say the 27-year-old will not be sold unless their £70million valuation is met.

Real Madrid and Barcelona believe the latest example of Suarez putting the bite on an opponent will save them £20million-plus because Liverpool have now become a selling club. But an Anfield insider said: “Anyone who thinks J W Henry will lose money on Suarez because of this episode is mistaken.

“After what happened last summer, there was a belief at the club that Suarez would be agitating for a move once again anyway.

“We still haven’t received official notification from FIFA about how they arrived at their decision to ban Suarez.

“But whether the suspension stays in place or is lifted, he will not be leaving Liverpool until another club meets our valuation, which remains unchanged.”

Liverpool insist that they have had no contact with Real or Barcelona about Suarez. But chief executive Ian Ayre has been in regular contact with the player’s agent – Pere Guardiola. Those talks are sure to have included discussions about the future.

Suarez broke his silence on his ban yesterday, tweeting: “Hi all, I write this post to give thanks to the outpouring of support and love I am receiving. Myself and my family really appreciate it. Thank you very much for being by my side and I want all my colleagues today we support selection for the match against Colombia.”

You know what I'm not particularly bothered if he stays or goes anymore. If he stays great if not we have a massive fee which can be reinvested into the squad. With John W Henry we now have an owner who won't take any crap.

I've heard from people at work that discussions between Suarez and Barcelona have been ongoing for a while. I'm not claiming to have any inside knowledge or anything, but I know people who know a lot more than I do. I'm almost certain that he'll be going to Barca this summer.

                    Me too.
                    Oh I don't know.

                      No surprise really.

I've long been of the opinion that when Suarez set off on his footballing journey to be with his girlfriend; now wife, both of them envisaged that journey ending in Spain.

It's still very much his aim imo, so i'm not going to have a go at someone for following their dream.

Good though, to hear that JH will once again be playing hard ball, stay or go this season, i think as a club we are heading in the right direction.

Also, we have picked up this habit of every so often aquiring strikers that once here, turn into superstars and much much better players, hopefully we can repeat the trick, and some! with the profit made on any deal should it proceed, and it should be a very handsome one, so some consollation if we can spend it shrewdly.

Suarez is irreplaceable as player, his style is somewhat unique, so we don't try, instead we have a plan to tweak the team for the players we sign to make a difference, by making them better, and by using their skills to make the rest of the team more productive.

Shame to see such individual quality leave the club if he does, and more of a shame we didn't take full advantage by sneaking the title this time as we really did imo deserve it.

But, if he go's, then it's onwards and upwards for LFC, the Suarez saga at LFC will be..... fin.

As far as I'm concerned Suarez stayed a season longer than I expected him to, I really thought he was going last summer. He has helped to turn us into title contenders and we're in the Champions League. If he leaves this summer then I won't hold it against him. We have plenty of time to explore other options, it's not like the Torres situation.

He didn't racially abuse a player. The FA decided he did so, which is not the same thing, despite there being a sum total of zero corroborative evidence.

The FA has a conviction rate of 98-99%, which is apparently on a par with North Korean show trials. The FA is not interested in justice. Anyone charged is almost always found guilty. When the charge is racial abuse they clearly go into PC meltdown to crucify the accused.

He can't argue with the biting accusations but the racial abuse thing is a load of PC bollocks

No it's not. Its Suarez trying to get a reaction using any means possible. We need to stop that delusion.

I don't think he's racist, but on the football pitch he is a cunt. Supremely talented and a nice guy of it, but on it.......

Last year - "he's going nowhere"
This year - "he's going nowhere unless someone meets our valuation"

He's gone I reckon, but we'll not get shafted on the fee - £50m plus Sanchez would do nicely provided he wants to come to us. If not we'll have £80m cash to spend. I get the impression talks are further advanced than we think and we are already spending some of that money now.

If he does go to Barca or Real I can't seem him doing a Torres and sink without trace but he won't hit new heights either. The narrative with him used to be that he missed a lot of chances but Brendan has basically set the team up to get the best out of him. He won't have that elsewhere as he won't be the main man above Neymar/Messi or Ronaldo/Bale. He could well screw his career by moving.
