Will miss his goals but not his baggage, which is very heavy now.
Time to call it a day and move on. And we will...

It's in the past but I think painting Luis as a poor persecuted victim is wrong; he keeps getting himself into avoidable controversies and at some point perhaps you have to say rather than blaming authorities and the length of bans etc... that Luis needs to stop putting himself in these positions and take responsibilities for his actions.
He is indulged wayyyyyyy to much. That's part of the problem really.
      *Except Michael, who died.

The indulgence is understandable. World's 3rd most prized asset playing for a club not in the world's top 25. I thought the club did extremely well getting him in line last season and it looks like he missed having his club mentors nearby and regressed. He's behaved a bit like a kid going on year 6 PGL

Once he is gone we will all miss him no matter how much we say we want rid now (just to save our "embarrassment" and preserve the clubs "honour").... He is a flawed genius no doubt, and has lots of crappy baggage, but personally all his baggage is worth it just to watch him play for those 5 minutes of brilliance. I know the club is bigger than the person and all that - but his genius and goals will not easily be replaced. The sense of pure amazement and joy in watching him play at his best won't come again to LFC for many, many years. And we will all regret his leaving afterwards, no matter our position on his crime.

Just in case readers are unsure of what ‘inevitable’ means, SPORT also say the conclusion of the transfer is only ’a matter of time’ and undoing the deal is ‘not feasible’.

SPORT further claim inside knowledge of the current thinking towards Suarez at Liverpool, reporting that his expulsion from the World Cup and all the controversy over that bite means Suarez is ‘depreciating slowly but steadily’, and the Reds are now open to doing business over their star striker.

As to the details of the deal, SPORT outline that Barca will start the bidding with Liverpool by offering 30 million euros and Alexis Sanchez. That total package, from Barca’s perspective, is said to be worth €60m.

As to the front page of SPORT on Sunday, it’s claimed that Luis Suarez will get treatment from a psychologist to control his biting impulses.

The tabloid claim such therapy takes a year to train the brain and master emotions, while experts believe that Suarez’s behavior is caused by childhood frustrations.

about £48m Add another £32m Barca then we can start talking.

Sanchez included in the deal makes it a great deal. We've got to insist on players as part of the deal as we'll get shafted if we have 80m to spend. Teams will inflate their prices.

I simply don't see Suarez being here next season. The current ban is 4 months.
                6 games.
                10 games.
                4 months.

What will the next ban be? 1 year?
That is way too big a risk and imagine if he got a lifetime ban. 80m down the toilet. FIFA made an unprecedented move to ban him from international AND domestic football who is say the FA or FIFA wont make an unprecedented move to ban him indefinitely with his next indiscretion. Naw, time to move him on as he is not worth the risk despite being the best Liverpool player I have ever seen in my lifetime.

We just have to make sure we don't get rid on the cheap.

Just reading the statement again.. dear jesus the guy is some piece of work. Clearly him and his genius solicitor have gone with not admitting liability... but seems that there is not the chance will Suarez ever apologise about again.

Surely that statement that has just got people's backs up even more. such a little weasel.

his statement is just so pathetic how do they even think something like that will help an appeal

I think it's because Suarez believes his 'get out of jail' card is to go with the 'I didn't do it' angle. Him issuing an apology will be classed as him admitting to it and dash any hope of an appeal. Mebbe.

If it's a good guess, it's all a tad delusional.

it's so transparent to anyone that watched the incident but i think you're spot on. Suarez was never going to apologise anyways.. not that type of character.

I think it's important to get Sanchez in to replace Suarez, one of the few who can come close IMO. He'll grow at Liverpool. I'd take 30 million pounds plus Sanchez.

Having said that, my first instinct is to keep him if possible.
                          * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Unfortunatley, i feel Sanchez will have offers from clubs he probably sees as being bigger than us.

                              He apologised last time.
