We'll definitely be playing with one frontman when Luis leaves. It's already clear with the transfer targets we're being linked with. Shaquiri, Sanchez, Markovic etc ... Think that's how Rodgers like to set his formations up anyway. We've had to accommodate Luis and Sturridge as a pair because they were outstanding.
Agree with everything except for the bold bit. With his age and groin issues, I don't think Stevie can do it further up field again. He can't strike the ball as hard and often as he used to. Gerrard as a dependable contributor of double figure goals is a thing of the past.
The goals and assists will be spread out for sure. Sturridge, Sterling, Coutinho, Henderson, Allen will step up -- they have to -- and maybe we'll score fewer goals overall but a class CB and LB (a RB too, if possible) will mean we don't have to 100+ goals and afford to score 80+ and win games because we're conceding far less.
He got 13 goals and 13 assists last season.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Yet again demonstrating the brilliance of our true genius: the manager.
Good luck to Luis but he ain't ever reproducing 30 league goals again, even in the easier league he's moving to.
My main concern is Sturridge's fitness, he missed something like 12 games through injury last year, maybe more. If Suarez leaves and we go into the season with Sturridge, Lambert and Borini then we're in trouble.
Manchester City didnt win the league last year because they had the best team. They won it because they had the best squad. When you consider the fact that we will have champions league football in the mix next season, it was imperitive that we improved the squad drastically. I think we will do that - but of course we wont have a better first 11 without Luis Suarez in the team - no team in the world would not want to have him in their first 11.
If we can get a player that can pop in 20 goals next season though - Alexi Sanchez would be brilliant - and supplement that with the other signings we have made / will make then we will be a better proposition next season. Considering that Suarez also brings loads of off field ****e with him, then it is a good move...
I'm talking in terms of open play contribution though. He just doesn't have the legs to be the kind of attacking midfielder we need under Rodgers. Not to mention his longstanding groin problems which prevents him from shooting much.

MundoDeportivo finally acknowledge that the buy-out clause for #Suarez for foreign clubs is 94.6m Euros (75 m pounds)
MundoDeportivo state that Barca gave them assurances they'd not meet #Suarez's full clause, which contradicts British sources. #LFChttp://www.mundodeportivo.com/201407...410824781.html …

Taberez said we agreed to sell him to Barca last November. Did he sign his contract around then? If so would confirm my suspicion that we did a Ronaldo with him at the time.
