Soldado is a big name player who happens to be ****. I know what you mean, but if we buy 2 players with all of the money, doesn't necessarily mean they'll be of the quality required. I thought he was doomed from the start, but in theory Lamela and Eriksen (the two whom were bought at the same time Bale left) are the right kind of player even though it hasn't really worked out. There's still nothing to say for sure they won't come right in the future, be it at Spurs or another club. I particularly feel that Lamela is a good player and injuries also didn't help him.

I know it's a bit ridiculous looking at Southampton again, but I wouldn't mind us trying for Pablo Osvaldo. Great finisher, works ridiculously hard and also a mental case. Perfect replacement for Suarez. The goal he scored against Roma (his old team) in extra time and the way he wound up their fans in his last game for Juventus was brilliant. He's a much better player than many think. I know it would never happen, but he'd be a great fit for us.

We need to make a huge purchase to make a statement that we aren't a ****ty selling club.

No we don't. We have to make the right purchases. Nobody on the planet thinks we're a selling club.
            Oh I don't know.

Agreed, we need a top top striker as a replacement. I don't want us to be perceived as a club that can't attract or retain supreme players.

We don't need a Balotelli, it's not about just getting a big name in. We do need a quality replacement, but it has to be the right player.

we can never do a like for like replacement of suarez, he is/was unique.
even if we cant get another world class striker we need a decent option to go along side sturridge and lambert.
the best we can do is improve the rest of the squad with the money. the obvious weak areas LB, RB, CB, etc.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Sterling is our next irreplaceable player. If Coutinho steps up too then we'll be just fine :-)

We've moved on from irreplaceable players before now. Suarez is no different. We will find a way.
No! I am NOT in denial!

In your opinion. In mine Torres had a period of around 18 months where he was the best striker in the world, so clearly reached that elite level. But hey, going to Chelsea is worse than being a bitey racialist, so let's all jump on the revisionist bandwagon and pretend that Torres was actually not that good.

Hope we don't become the new spurs. Suarez is going to be hard to replace.

I'm looking forward to his impromptu leaving speech, saying how this fantastic opportunity came so suddenly from nowhere. Thanking the fans for always being there for him, maybe even saying how he feels he will never walk alone after playing for such a great club...

And referring to biting two players and using racist language as 'unfortunate incidents'. And ignoring the Arsenal flirtation by claiming that he never wanted to leave, but this chance was too good to pass up.
