Yeah but if we ban him for four games then the FA ban him for 8 we cant exactly go back on our word can we.

Doesnt matter how we react the FA will impose some sort of ban, they will want to make an example of him.

He got 7 in Holland, this is the 2nd time he has bit someone on a football field. He has previous with the FA, the FA will want to look strong and send out a 'message' as they usually do so that means more than the 7 he got the 1st time imo.

I stand by my earlier post and I know I'm in a minority of 1 but I would sell him. The most we are getting from Suarez is 1 more season, if we don't qualify for the CL next season he will be off, everyone in football seems to accept that which means it becomes a buyers market because they know we will be selling/he will push for a move.

We should sell him this summer while we are in control of the situation, say Suarez gets 9/10 games, thats 5/6 to serve at the start of next season and we have a dismal start to next season (like this one) and we find ourselves too far behind in the league to catch up.

Our squad doesn't need serious surgery but it needs strengthening in numerous areas, this summer with the increased tv money, sponsorship, player sales of £30m PLUS the Suarez money means we can realistically become a better, stronger, more flexible squad in a shorter period of time.

That then allows Shelvey, Suso, Wisdom, maybe even Sterling let alone the lads a level below (Robinson, Smith, Texirea, Ibe etc...) can go out on loan.

We would be a stronger football club for selling him.
If he stays next season we'll most likely have to replace him then Gerrard within 12-18months.

            An impossible task.
What message does selling him now send out to players we are trying to sign?

Players potentially joining the club don't "dream of playing with Jonjo Shelvey". They want to play with Suarez.

We need him to help attract a higher calibre of player this summer.

FWIW I believe he is genuine when he says he would like to stay for his contract. Regardless of whether that's true or not though, I can't see his value changing much between this or next year.

If we sold him now I think it would undo any kind of momentum and positivity around the club, whether that's players or fans or other staff.

I dread to think where we'd be in a year or two if we sold him. The money gained in selling him would be useful but i'd worry about us slipping further and further behind.

why because nothing good comes out of suarez's extra curricular activities.......more how can the club keep damage limitations to a minimum against the LFC name and brand

I can see what you're getting at Bender.

Suarez acted the fool, obviously, but the club have dealt with the situation really well.

                        Gotcha

So your issue is more with Suarez actions rather than how the club have dealt with it.

In my humble opinion the club should've come out and banned him for the rest of the season and see if the fa think that's enough punishment
