This is ****ing frustrating. Next season is really as good a time as ever for Liverpool to really kick on, considering that virtually everyone above us in the table is experiencing some kind of destabilisation, whether managerial (Everton, United, City, Chelsea) or due to missing out on European football (Spurs). If he really "loves" Liverpool that much, really don't see why Suarez can't just stay on one more season to push the team forward. If he leaves, then the "weaknesses" our opposition have will be a lot less meaningful, and we might as well think of next season as yet another season in transition. It's become our way of life. We're always in transition. An unremitting cycle.

Suarez's wife handed in her notice at the Gym, may be coincidental but also a small hint of what's going on in the Suarez household!

If Suarez wants protection from, or has had enough of the press, isn't it about time he grew up, took some responsibility for his situation and started acting more like an adult?
              Oh I don't know.

@Fydsy: Suarez has said what's being reported - and a bit more. he loves Liverpool, has his contract and implies he wants protection...

@Fydsy: He doesn't want his family having another year like last year at the hands of the press.

@Fydsy: More: The questions are leading and the tone of Suarez is deferential and humble about other clubs as it always is. He is very diplomatic

@Fydsy: More: It's clear he wants the club to protect him (needs to work on that himself, too) but the key is in the questions.
To be fair If he wants protection for his family... he should stop doing stupid ****.

I think his words can be twisted either way, but obviously the twist that sells the papers and creates a storm is what we are reading today.

I genuinely think that Suarez believes that 'he owes' us and I do think that Suarez will be with us next season.

If he doesn't want his wife and child to be having a tough time he should try behaving himself on the bloody pitch.

The press were starting to be complimentary toward him and the tide was turning until he got hungry and gave them what they love.

His own fault, no one else's.

If he does go, and that's the reason he sticks to, I won't believe it anyway. It will simply be - IMO - a case of him wanting to play at the highest level (because let's face it he deserves to be) and thinks this media excuse will be easier for us to swallow than him saying "LFC can't fulfill my ambitions, I'm off".
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Yeah I was thinking that too. The idea of wishing him well if he leaves this summer leaves a bit of a bitter taste in my mouth. Yes, he's scored many goals for the club. He's been far and away our best player. But he's also acted like a complete moron at times and the club has stood by him, the fans have stood by him... everyone worships him. I think that the millions of supporters who have spent hours defending him to other fans (me! Literally got in a fight with my boyfriend's best mate about Suarez. The personal sacrifices I have made) deserve another season out of him.

                            Hmph.
