Personally, I accepted that this was going to be his last season, so I'm not madly fussed about all of this coming out. (Well, apart from the whole players-not-honouring-agreements-that-they-willingly-signed etc etc, but that's a whole other argument). So if he goes, he goes, and he'll be getting a bollocking and thanks in equal measures.
Once one of the top continental sides express an interest, I don't think its unfair to say that top Latin players naturally gravitate towards such a move, both for cultural and sporting reasons, so its something that buying clubs are usually aware of when pursuing these players.
The flip-side of course is that the more Nothern European/British players are more attracted to remaining at home, once their ambitions are being realised - this has allowed us to hold onto such luminaries in the modern game such as Downing, Carroll etc
A fair bargain if ever there was one.

Sadly Jim White was not there to deliver this in his trademark explosive style.Originally posted by Vermilion View Post

edit: We'll see though.
As you say, we'll see, but I don't think he really has a reason to move. He's on good money, playing in a great league with a team that's noticeably progressed, especially with the addition of Phil Coutinho and is playing for, lets face it, the best club on the planet, the team that has backed him to the hilt through all the controversy. He's still young, if he wants to leave after next season there'll still be plenty of big name suitors to take him. Why not stick around and see what happens?

I believe Suarez will be happy enough to stay unless a massive club such as Real Madrid come in for him. Talk of possibly Atletico Madrid is crap.
Speaking for myself, I'd have been happy to let him go had he done his best by us. But after enforced bans I think he owes us another season and I'd be a bit pissed at him if he left.Forwards.......
