Hilarious all the Arsenal fans who hated Suarez and wanted him kicked out of the game now suddenly interested (and pretty excited in some cases) in him coming to their club.

Arsenal are just trolling. Ridiculous in so many ways. We should respond by making 1p offers for each of their (half decent) players on a daily rotation.I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

Could be wrong but I thought it popped up from the Times first, though most of the London media seems to have got it at once. Which would maybe indicate Arsenal leaked it?Originally posted by doogle View PostWas it Bascombe who broke the story? I'm wondering if it was us who leaked the story to warn potential bidders we won't accept stupid bids and to get them to make offersI could not dig, I dared not rob:

For established players like Suarez, Higuain and Benzema is doesnt matter if they are playing in a CL team or not. They are well and truely on the radar, and as long as they are playing good football thats all that matters.Originally posted by Tee View PostLack of Champions League football in WC year might not be the best advised move tbh.
Different kettle of fish for someone on the fringes or an "up and comer" though.

Originally posted by Sarb View PostThe confirmed £30m bid by Arsenal for him is laughable. If they made it to spur Madrid into selling Higuain to them, I can't see how it would work. Bidding well below value for another striker just makes you look like idiotsThere's too much thought gone into this bid from the Arsenal board (you know its come from there rather than Wenger). My take on it is they keep raising the bar when brainwashing their fanbase year after year. Hats off to them.Originally posted by Pablo1981 View Postthey'll just up the asking price to £30m now.
They don't want Higuin and they seriouly don't want Suarez. What they DO want is to force Real to up the Higuin price so the board can turn around and say "ah well Liverpool said no for Luis, but you saw us bid right?". And "Madrid are charging an unfairly inflated price on a older striker who is not worth £30m".
Market played, fans appeased, stadium money saved for another year. One tit for another.

They can call him a racist, a cannibal etc but there is no denying he is a world class and they all would give their right hand for him to join them.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

i think its a clever move by arsenal.
they know they cant get the player and the bid wont be accepted. So its a message to real madrid to get the higuain deal done quickly because the suarez bandwagon has started.
What it does is set a mark for where the bidding starts.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

it forces the suarez issue.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostIs it really that clever? If precisely everyone here and in the British media can see through it then I'm pretty sure Madrid can.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]
