Or it's a signal to their fans that they are trying to spend money, don't think they are that gullible thoughOriginally posted by el matador View Posti think its a clever move by arsenal.
they know they cant get the player and the bid wont be accepted. So its a message to real madrid to get the higuain deal done quickly because the suarez bandwagon has started.
What it does is set a mark for where the bidding starts.

I think if they'd bid £40m odd it would have been taken a bit more seriously and realistically by all. But then they ran the risk of it being accepted. I still think they're mugging their fans offOriginally posted by Kenneth View Post
I guess what I'm getting at is that this move seems quite ham fisted. It relies on at least somebody believing its genuine but I doubt anyone does

Also, if they have the 100m warchest mentioned above then 40m for Suarez is well worth it. They have no such money and even Arsenal fans can see through this bull. They don't know whether to laugh or cry (I tell them to laugh like me, obviously). One tit for another.

if arsenal are continued to be frustrated by real madrid re higuian whats to stop them putting in a higher bid say 35m knowing full well that madrid dont want to get into a price war over suarez.Originally posted by Kenneth View Post

RM havent gone for bale so that makes a move for suarez more likely and real probably think they can put in a 30m bid on the last day of the window which we will reluctantly accept. But if the bidding war starts now then real will have no choice but to get involved IF they want the player.
Arsenal will never get suarez but they could make it difficult for real to get him too.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]
