He's supporting a friend, a friend who has constantly been in the media supporting Suarez in recent months.

I also suggested restructuring his existing deal as he is on fairly modest wages.

Very important player for us and it would be shame to lose him after only 18 months*

But the thing is, as I said in the different thread, he wouldn't play with Lugano even if he would made the switch anyway.

Lugano only started 8 games since end of October and 1 start since late January.

Things will only get worse for Lugano next year as PSG will strengthen in that department and I wouldn't be surprised to see him leave.

But Johnson can? The world doesn't work like that. Players will always be askd for a quote. It's a sad state of affairs when everyone has to be guarded. If he refused, he would have been called stupid for not playing the game.
