    It probably is a case of lost in translation but he must know that PSG have been linked with a move and could have done himself and the club a favour by saying nothing or 'no comment'

      It is not much different though.

      "I could play" still doesn't sit well with me but I get it may be completely lost in translation and taken out of context.

        Depends on the context and what was being asked. It would be suicidal to sell him no matter how much money they're willing to pay. I think he signed a 6 year contract with us, we should give him a pay rise and stick in a £100m clause in.
        Are we winning?

          @PhilippeAuclair
          @StanCollymore Watched Canal Football Club and the Suarez interview: reaction in England completely overblown. He was asked to talk..

          @PhilippeAuclair
          @StanCollymore ...about his Urug. captain Lugano, who's having a very hard time at PSG. Then, a propos of nothing, 'what about PSG?'

          @PhilippeAuclair
          @StanCollymore Suarez answers politely, as much out of support for Lugano as for any other reason, and suddenly it is: 'he wants to join'.

            He really should learn to shut the **** up in these kind of situations and not give the press anything. If he made those comments I find them so damn disrespectful.

              Theres a surprise, ******s! The media are vile, some do lap it all up though so you can understand why they do it I guess.

                Do you not think its more likey been twisted to get a reaction. No one would watch if he only voiced his support for Lugano.

                  Probably, but say nothing and there is no story is there?

                    He's supporting a friend, a friend who has constantly been in the media supporting Suarez in recent months.

                      I also suggested restructuring his existing deal as he is on fairly modest wages.

                      Very important player for us and it would be shame to lose him after only 18 months*

                      *he signed 5.5 year contract if I'm not mistaken

                      I thought the same thing when I read that article.

                      Just divert that type of question to a different topic unless he wants out, which there is no indications that he does atm.

                        So you'd rather Suarez said nothing about no one. Come on, we all know journos can twist words. It's happened before, and it's happened again.

                            But the thing is, as I said in the different thread, he wouldn't play with Lugano even if he would made the switch anyway.

                            Lugano only started 8 games since end of October and 1 start since late January.

                            Things will only get worse for Lugano next year as PSG will strengthen in that department and I wouldn't be surprised to see him leave.

                              But Johnson can? The world doesn't work like that. Players will always be askd for a quote. It's a sad state of affairs when everyone has to be guarded. If he refused, he would have been called stupid for not playing the game.

                                Well seeing as there is clearly ill feeling from the media in this country towards him, he would be best advised to take a break from dealing with them. Common sense IMO.
