Links to the story of the Liverpool fan guilty of racism abuse too, but strangely not he United fan who was convicted for an offense right at the time the Suarez ban was ending

Better off with the Sport if it's tits they're after.Originally posted by Lee View PostDon't worry about that mate.
I've two close mates - both huge Reds - who read The Sun, even after being made aware of the Hillsborough lies. And to take the piss they even talk about the transfer gossip and articles in it to me. Tried to educate them but they want their Page 3 fix though and mindless stories.

The Mirror's Suarez coverage was nothing short of racist. The irony of it.

Couldn't agree more. Luis needs to shut up. We and it seems every team-mate he's ever had KNOWs that he is not racist, but every time he opens his mouth it just gives more fuel to our enemies.Originally posted by Jack D Rips View PostTo be honest I would prefer if Luis stopped talking to newspapers about this. Im fully behind him in the Evra thing, but this sort of interview is not helping matters.
It is not fair, it is not just - but we have lost this one. Luis needs to move on, show everyone what a good player he is and why he is so popular with team-mates. He has to stop fighting a battle that was lost.

He is captain of his country and is giving an interview for his nation back home. A) We don’t know how much pressure he was put under to answer the questions. B) Why shouldn’t he be honest and let them know how much of a joke the system is and how hurt he was?
You’re saying he should move on etc. (which I agree with) but the media are often dragging him into this Terry situation which has f*ck all to do with him, so how can he?If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I agree with all of that but by all accounts the club dont want him doing these interviews. If that is the case he should stop it. Its not getting him anywhere. Accusing the mancs of orchestrating the whole thing ( whether its right or wrong) is liable to get him in more trouble."With Ron Yeats in defence, we could play Arthur Askey in goal."

If it was a local interview I’d maybe tend to agree but the fact he didn’t say anything until the season was over and it was asked as captain in the build up to the Olympics, I don’t think there were any ulterior motives and think he was within his rights to answer honestly (unless of course the club have specifically said he should never talk about it).Originally posted by Jack D Rips View PostI agree with all of that but by all accounts the club dont want him doing these interviews. Seems pretty sensible. However, I found the fact he cares about cricket more interesting, its hard not to really like Didi isn't it.Originally posted by dom9 View Post
