Very interesting interview. On one hand, it could be seen as romantic, or even sensationalist, but on the other hand it's one of the more evenhanded pieces I've seen on Suarez. I've been largely disappointed with a lot of the Guardian's football journalism in the last year or so but I enjoyed reading that. Thanks for sharing!

I think it would only take a good conversation with Suarez to realise he is not the man that he can be on the pitch sometimes and far, far away from the demeanor of a racist. He seems like a very warm personality in reality. Nice to see a paper printing the two sides to the story for once.Comment

No, I think it's definitely not too late although it might be overdue. He's been demonised in sections of the media and articles like this help to remind people he's human and there's more to him than the two-dimensional cartoon monster of the tabloid press.Originally posted by acdmackay View Post
