Last season there were certain people complaining that he had all the skill in the world but we needed him to finish his chances. This season, he's got 3 in3 and people are complaining that his all round game has been poor (which is extremely harsh in my view) - it's probably only Lionel messi that would escape criticism and doubts from some of you lot.K ris90210

You can please all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time. However, there is no pleasing internet football guru's (leg end's in their own mind)Originally posted by kris90210 View PostLast season there were certain people complaining that he had all the skill in the world but we needed him to finish his chances. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Hi goal return is decent enough. But it should be better considering the amount of good positions he gets himself into - and there is absolutely no doubt that his decision making at times is rather selfish.Originally posted by kris90210 View PostLast season there were certain people complaining that he had all the skill in the world but we needed him to finish his chances. One would hope that some of his blind alley runs would transform into better link up play over time. He's an excellent player, but needs about 8 decent chances before finishing 1. In short, he's not an out-and-out goalscorer.
I'm glad to have him in the side, but he can be a frustating figure to watch from time to time.

Regardless of the sitters he misses, this season is still young and I'd take 1:2 ratio at the end of the day. Even though he misses bad chances, I still maintain if he had better attackers with him, he'd score more goals because the quality of chance would be better, which sometimes isn't the case when he carves them out for himself. A number of the chances that he missed particularly last season was a result of what he created himself. I feel it's a similar case to Aguero at City, obviously Kun is a better finisher, but he does and has always missed his fair share of sitters, but because he has significantly better players behind him he scores more goals.
Last season Suarez had a below par goalscoring return, he had a tough season in many ways and missed a lot of games. If he can get 16-20 in the league this season, I certainly won't be complaining regardless of how many he misses, some strikers miss more than others, but it's all part of being a striker.

it might be interesting to look at how often suarez takes a shot, and what other players are also close to the goal. does he have the option of a pass, or is he on his own...
we need other players getting into the goal mouth area.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

one thing that no stats/scoring ratios will every highlight is the simple fact that having him on the pitch preoccupies at least one opposition player, more often than not, two.
he needs to work on being a decoy and passing more. he's a marked man, literally. but he's extremely useful in the side and I wouldnt sell him.

I think that is too optimistic.Originally posted by Zapater View PostRegardless of the sitters he misses, this season is still young and I'd take 1:2 ratio at the end of the day. Personally I'd be content if he is 1 in 3.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club
