I still have my doubts that he's the right player for us long term.

that second goal sums up Suarez perfectly, Misses an easy chance and then has the speed of thought to go hassling to get the ball back and scores a Beauty.

I will take the frustration all day long though, He is a very special player

The frustration is minimal for me. He is genuine world class, a truly special player, and I find the nitpicking pretty ****ing unbelievable really. He's scored goals throughout his career, he's scored goals for us and will continue scoring plenty - even more so as he now has much more quality around him.

If he's a 'problem' for us he's about 45th on the list.

i find it a bit childish that you cant say one of our players or even better/best players have a weakness.

its not a playground so why is it soo difficult?

He will absolutely thrive in this system.
He'll score, create and make space for others to do the same.

That's lame. Who has said you can't say he has a weakness? He clearly does, like every player on earth with the possible exception of Messi. People have been suggesting he should be dropped, that we'd be better off without him or that he should be sold. That is what is laughable.

I bet Messi is **** in goal.

it wasnt in reply to you but if people mention our players weaknesses they do get attacked (though less since you despise him chris calmed down then got hodgsoned)

the fact we may be better of without someone is not laughable it never has been.

its a question of how much money can we get and can we improve overall by using that money in that way. Now there is a risk as we have shown by spunking £100m over the last few years (from aquilani onwards) on players who are not good enough or dont fit.

the notion that if you could get £30m for Suarez and it not be possible to improve the team or squad with is might just be laughable.

anyway lets see how the season develops and how the new people and system and manager bed in. Suarez could score hatfulls he could get a more modest return and look like an indicidual in a team. at this moment we dont know. It looks like he can fit but we will only know at the end.

He has been called disappointing, a hindrance and more in this thread alone. I find it unbelievable

The notion that we might be better off without our best player is in my opinion ludicrous and laughable. It's not personal, and to each his own, but I think it's ridiculous. I'd prefer to keep our best player.

The fact Messi doesn't have a weakness is his weakness.
                        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

he has been all of those in various games. overall i am sure i have said i dont think he will score more than 15 goals in a season but for his all round game i think he is worth keeping.

we might be better off without him. what if we got llorente and sahin with the money from selling suarez ?

and then played better than we do now. is that so laughable and ludicrous?

i would rather keep him at the moment but my general thoughts are i am happy to sell anyone if we can improve the team with that money.

If you seriously believe we could sell him and bring in someone better then I want some of whatever you're on. We should count ourselves extremely lucky that we as a mid-table side without Champions League football have a world class striker playing for us. Much like the Rafa situation, any replacement at this moment in time is only going to be a downgrade. He is in the elite group of forward players in the world in my opinion. His replacement sure as **** wouldn't come from that group.

"He has been all of those in various games" - I'm not talking about single games, I'm talking about the overall picture. He misses a chance, has a frustrating game, and people start getting all knee-jerk and making ridiculous statements about him. After the West Brom game there were various posts suggesting we are a greater goal threat without him

He's had a couple of brutal games though this season. Although often brilliant he's not consistent enough imo. That's obviously nothing like a problem in his good games but when things aren't going for him he is too wasteful and hinders us, especially against teams that aren't ****.

no i am not talking about replacing him with one player i was talking about using that money and maybe buyin more than one player that actually improves us.

the notion its not possible is well child like.
