he's proper mad... or a real vampire... But with teeth like that... anyway, he deserves a ban, it's unacceptable.

Perspective: Career theatening broken leg from a over the top late challenge or a little bite mark on your arm. You choose. What is worse?

I'm glad we've learned from last time and moved quickly on this one.

I think that we need to try and get him some help though; to try and stop him doing crazy the crazy stuff he does from time to time. He plays on the edge and I think we need to try and get someone to work with him to keep him on the right side of the line.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

****ing hell lads it's only a bite on an arm. Seriously, this needs to be put into context.

I would much rather have a cheeky bite on the arm than any of the high leg breaking challenges we've seen this season.

If those are 3 game bans then his should be a one game ban. End of.

Does anyone reckon he genuinely has anger issues?

Fine him and give him a club ban ( 2 games or something) obviously discussing our plan of action with him first.

We need to be strong here and try and nip this in the bud early on

I'm not sure if it's anger or what, but I think we should get someone working with him to try and stop him doing some of the crazy stuff he does, and channel this anger/energy/whatever you want to call it into something positive.

No. I think he is the ultimate competitor. He has a "never say die" attitude. His goal showed that today

He loses control occasionally and could do with some help in how to channel his feelings, but clearly he plays on the edge and sometimes just crosses that fine line.

seriously, if you bite oponents then you've got a bit of a mental issue. that's the story here, not over the top tackles.

Luis should have just said 'suck it' de-generation x style and then chaired shreeves and dropped a macho man randy savage elbow on jim white. Followed by a 'wwooooooo' before smashing the sky cameras.

Just saw the incident on Premier Soccer Sunday - very balanced analysis by Gilesy and Richie Sadlier.

I'm pretty gutted that it's as bad as I feared. I was hoping the whole thing was being overstated but it's ****in bad. No point in trying to compare biting to bad tackles etc - it's just a completely different and nuts thing. It has even less of a place than an awful more damaging tackle because it bears no relation to the sport.

All that said, I don't want Suarez sold, even if it might be the right thing. Sadly, I don't think he has any real control over these actions - the same mad genius tenacity that makes him great also makes him capable of madness.

The issue is about Suarez being who he is, a person who plays on the edge. What he done today (yes it was wrong) but it wouldnt have ended a career or put a player out of action for several months. That is what the "perspective" reference is about

Yeah, this is how I see it too.

Hitting, shoving, kicking, headbutting and punching someone on a football field you can sort of understand in certain circumstances when angered or fustrated. To bite someone? Thats not playing on the edge. Thats mental. Its something you expect from undomesticated animals.
