To be honest, this incident doesn't really bother me, we bought him while he was serving a lengthy ban for biting someone in the Dutch league. I think we've just got to accept that along with all the moments of genius he provides there are also going to be moments of complete luncacy

If we do sell him on the back of this there is no way we will be able to replace him with a player even remotely as talented, so do we cut our nose off to spite our face?
We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

No, we have his teeth removed.

Suppose there's no merit in trying to say he was yawning and fell into Ivanovich's arm ?

I would much rather have a cheeky bite on the arm than any of the high leg breaking challenges we've seen this season.

If those are 3 game bans then his should be a one game ban. End of.
Whilst I would prefer to bitten on the arm than to be on the wrong end of a high challenge, I would very much like to receive neither. Which is kinda the point ... it's not one or the other, nor are we comparing which is worse; Suarez has gone to bite Ivanovic, which in itself is wrong - as such, the reaper cushions will be on this incident alone.

He doesn't need our help, he should stop being a ****ing prick and learn to behave himself instead of doing daft things like this.

I love Suarez but we as fans and the club cannot keep defending him all the time no matter how good he is. He's letting everyone down big time and it's disappointing and frustrating.

Rodgers will **** him off now I reckon, he's probably had enough of him.

I think that pushing, shoving and kicking are all part and parcel of the game and you can understand to a certain extend (whilst not condoning them), I think that headbutting or punching (i.e. properly punching or headbutting) someone are a step beyond that and are in the same category as biting i.e. they are just acts of violence and that don't 'naturally' come up and aren't part and parcel of the game.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Don't see anyone defending him, everyone has said he was wrong to do it, he made a mistake and some of us are happy to support him as he learns from it because we all make mistakes.

Thin line between genius and insanity. He crosses it sometimes. He apologised, he'll be banned, and that should be it.

Anything else is ****ing ludicrous IMO.

Selling him would just cement our mediocrity. Cantona banned for 9 months, came back and won them the cup.

                I blame Rodgers.

                  I hear what you're saying and I kinda agree ... I *think*!

Perhaps it's when hands and arms are caught up? Much like Tyson?

It's a good point you raise, just one I can't get my head around.

EDIT: Ignore me, I've seen a replay and his arm is free.

Got back from the game about an hour. ago
Never saw the incident and much of the ground hardly reacted to it.

Aside from the biting, thought Suarez was really poor, his ball retention was really ****, he was marshalled well by Ivanovich/Luiz - but hey he pops up and scores at the death.

Dunno about bans, but maybe the rest will do him good - he'll probably have to contend with another summer of football and we're playing for **** now so he might as well get the ban in before the end of the season end.
                      We come not to play.

Biting is on different level even to proper punching, headbutting etc. How many other biting incidents have there been in the Premiership?

Without him BR might not have made it to January and we would have been in a relegation battle.
