I love him but he what he did cannot be justified.

Major ****-up and to make things worse it is 2nd time in last 2.5 year that he pulled the same 'trick'.

Good thing is he came out and took the responsibility for his actions right away as opposed to Evra saga.

Will be fined and banned, which imo he deserves, and he really needs to find the way to channel his frustration differently.

He is too good of a player to be remembered more by his not-footballing skills...

My big worry is it will be Ayre taking care of it. Mess written all over it.

I think that's a good start from Ian Ayre to be honest.

Cancelled a trip to deal with it quickly, lessons learnt from previous situations. Not sure what he has done wrong or what else he is supposed to do?

Gets a lot of unfair criticism in my opinion.

Club should announce he's getting a 4 match ban in the morning. Try and head the FA off.

He needs to get rid of that bike.

I think the hate comes from the fact he apparently massively dislikes Rafa which in turn had a huge effect on him coming back.

Agreed. I wanted a statement this evening but expected one tomorrow; we've been swift and like you say - learnt from our previous mistakes.

Still, if only we had Ancelotti as our manager, managing director, owner and mascot ... we'd win the World Cup tomorrow.

We need more than one statement. If we want to keep Suarez then FSG and in this case it probably means Ayre making statement after statement after statement defending Suarez.

He need to use the media a lot to defend Suarez. He must also do it the right way.

Suarez of course need to do his part of the job.

There is so much over reaction here it is unbelievable. He lost his rag and bit someone. So what?

Its not like he simulated snorting coke, made homophobic gestures or wore a cream suit to a cup final, is it?

                      Life goes on.

How many believes that he will mess it up?

Why do we need a statement to acknowledge that we issued a statement?

I really don't know what you're expecting, Arn.

I really don't want to type that word again, but that ... statement we have issued is pretty decent. It's said it will be dealt with internally and we await the FA's opinion, what else is there to be said? I'm sure we'll respond to the FA tomorrow and life goes on.

More interested in the fact that Brendan had a plan B today. Nobody is acknowledging the clear presence and practical application of Brendan's Plan B.

                                I don't think so.

BR and Ayre came out right away and were frank about Suarez behavior as it was Luis himself.

There is nothing to defend here but rather to admit the error and move on.

In terms of making statement after statement I'd rather have us not to do so as acting swiftly was imo right way of handling this **** up.

We certainly don't want to prolong this issue for too long and to me issuing statement after statement and "defending" Luis will only make things worse and imo will be very counterproductive.
