I think you must have had too much chutney or chilli with your samosas yesterday.
Suarez messed up, he knows, we know, hell everyone knows. And he has apologised and had the apology accepted. We should look to move on now and let the club deal with him on a personal level as to how this does not happen again.
Maybe we should sign Muzzle Izzet to play alongside him.

FFS this even made it to a call in on Cairns radio. You know what most of the stories were about? Rugby.
Queensland is a massive rugby supporting state and some of the **** that goes on in a scrum would make your eyes water. Biting is one of them and the presenters were just laughing.
I bet they are laughing at this incident too but for some reason most people are reacting as though Suarez bit his cock off and spat it out at the home fans. Was muß, das muß.

Players potentially joining the club don't "dream of playing with Jonjo Shelvey". They want to play with Suarez.
We need him to help attract a higher calibre of player this summer.
FWIW I believe he is genuine when he says he would like to stay for his contract. Regardless of whether that's true or not though, I can't see his value changing much between this or next year.
If we sold him now I think it would undo any kind of momentum and positivity around the club, whether that's players or fans or other staff.
I dread to think where we'd be in a year or two if we sold him. The money gained in selling him would be useful but i'd worry about us slipping further and further behind.
We wouldn't sell him now, we'd sell in the summer once we had targets basically signed and sealed with prices agreed.
I'm not suggesting it's perfect but there is no way Suarez is seeing out his contract.
The ONLY way he would is if we are challenging for the PL and CL, so we'd need to be doing that next season because at the end of the year after he's down to 2 years left and that isn't going to happen.
Either way Suarez is leaving. He'll decide to go because we haven't progressed enough and aren't challenging or we'll sell because it's obvious he wants to go and/or he's made it clear he isn't signing another deal.
Do you honestly think FSG will supply the money to buy every player we need to make the squad strong enough this summer? bearing in mind their under 23 policy?
Not going to happen. Rodgers is their man because it's a long term vision, the clubs long term vision won't happen quick enough for Suarez's short term ambitionsThe King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

Just thinking about how the club should handle this. Suarez has the Confederations Cup in the summer, due to finish June 30th. He'll need a while to get fully up speed at the start of next season anyway. So if we were to ban him from playing for us until say September it would make a great statement, but also work nicely in our favour too. I'd consider doing something like that anyway

Thats a really good point. Even an 8 game ban could be 'workable'. I hope BR has the funds to bring in another top quality striker though.Originally posted by Pablo1981 View PostJust thinking about how the club should handle this. I would much prefer to hold on to the 1 genuine world class player we have at the moment and make a geniune push for top 4 with some Investment in the summer.
It would be a miracle if we sold Suarez for 40m, invested 100m into the team and got Champs League next season., Pure Fantasy Football to expect a) all players to be good b) all players to settle.
Isn't it fantasy football to expect us to finish top 4 with investment (no-one knows how much) as all the players you want to buy to get us top 4 will have to be good and will also have to settle??
Your own logic has blown apart your own opinion

He's a nutjob on the pitch (and if you want dickhead) because he's passionate, loves playing and a winner and he'll do whatever it takes to win. He's not given enough credit for what he does on the pitch. He does like a dive every now and then but he gets kicked about too. He just keeps going and going, week in, week out. You have to give as good as you get out there.Originally posted by MrMichael View PostOh come on dude, getting yourself suspended for what will likely be a significant number of games, not for a mistimed tackle or something but for consciously making the choice to bite someone, bringing the full weight of the moral crusade media etc down on the club once again, that isn't letting the club down? If it isn't I seriously don't know what is. Selfish, utterly unnecessary and completely absurd.
In my book anyone who bites anyone ever is a dickhead, plain and simple. Fabulous player, and one who we should fight to hold onto because of his god given talent with a football, but in this case he deserves every bit of criticism imo and people trying to make light of it are only doing so because of massive red tinted specs. Lack of injury etc mitigates the punishment perhaps, but hardly justifies the action. You just do not go around biting people.
He's also instinctive and not the brightest (probably because he's been playing football all his life) but I've seen enough interviews with him, charity work photos, tears at Hillsborough to make my own conclusion that he's not a dickhead.
I'm sure teams are instructed to wind him up, kick him etc.. and generally I think he's done well this season with his disciplinary record considering his volatile character.
