I hope we know what we are doing here because if this backfires then it will big time with a hefty ban.

I believe the club has done this to be able to challenge any ban given longer than 3 games

Why? I can't think of anything to suggest that.

I think it's fine to argue about the length of the ban before any has been imposed. But I can't see any reason why the club would appeal against the sentence of the tribunal, unless it's totally outlandish, like months or a dozen or more games. Challenging a ban of, say, seven games, I just can't see any benefit.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

Why? If they don't reply it's not like we can read anything into it.

IMO the club and Suarez would have a good case. For instance the Defoe case. As stated On here Fellaini headbutting Shawcross on more than one occasion. There are countless other cases they can refer too

Sure, they've got a case, there are precedents, but I can't imagine the club would want to do it.

But I'm in danger of repeating myself from yesterday. When he gets a few games more than the minimum then we'll see what happens I suppose.

There is really no point to appeal against a decision by the FA.

Only one won and over five hundred lost appeals IIRC.

If we appeal then he will almost guaranteed get an even longer ban.

The club should shut up and take 8. Mull over and probably reluctantly accept 10. Appeal 12+

I think 12 is likely but can see 4-6 being suspended.
