The ludicrous and unjustifiable severity of the ban makes an appeal inevitable IMO. We have to appeal and we will.

Ah ok, I got the wrong end of the stick.Originally posted by dom9 View PostYes, but the guidelines for punishing specific offences sits with the FA to define. For example, UEFA have just implemented an automatic 10 match ban for racism. That has not been filtered down to individual FAs.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Yes he is.Originally posted by kev776 View PostSuarez is a ****ing idiot
Don't say I didn't warn you, told you it would be at least 8 games.
He only has himself to blame the dumb ****. I don't know why the club are saying they're shocked, what else where they expecting?
He bit someone FFS as well as catalogue of other **** ups, it's made the FA's decision simple really.
Nice one Suarez.

I'm not being hostile - the hostility is coming from you, toward Suarez.Originally posted by Marina View PostStop being so hostile. It's unnecessary. You're writing as if I've personally offended you.
I know that we are no longer a hot commodity in international club football. But I'm a fan of the club before the players. Suarez, at this moment in time, is hurting the club's chances at success because he acted like a toddler in a playpen. He's a foolish man. I don't think he's got bad intentions, but he's still an idiot for landing himself and the club in this situation.
I'm a nobody-is-bigger-than-the-Club person myself, but in this instance I don't believe it's a case of Suarez being bigger than the Club. I accept he was in the wrong, and needs to be punished, and that a "fair" punishment would still see him banned for a number of games, but even with the ban my point is that he is still an asset to the team (when he's on the pitch).
If we could replace him with somebody just as good but without the hassle he brings then obviously it would be a no-brainer, but I haven't got the confidence in the management team that they could, so I'm quite prepared to put up with the aggro to this point without lashing out.
