      It's really very simple:

10 match ban is appropriate for Suarez based on the fact:

      a) the FA are clamping down harder now than ever before and setting new precedents for discipline
      b) he's done it before at Ajax and got a 7 game ban
      c) then he got an 8 game ban for the Evra incident
What were people expecting? 3 games... ridiculous.
Logic says it has to be more than the previous 2 incidents as he's just not changing his behaviour accordingly and he's still bringing the game into disrepute. He's his own worse enemy, irrelevant of how nice a guy he is off the pitch and how he's almost single-handedly energised the team this year.

I can't bring myself to believe it's a deliberate ploy to force a move, but inn equal measure, I can't believe he's 100% all there with such behaviour on a football pitch... not once, but twice.

He has psychological/anger issues which need addressing.. but I don't believe FSG will be able to stomach much more of the controversy he brings on the club and them.

I think he will go in the summer, partly because he's frustrated with being banned again but partly because FSG realise he's going to cause some long term damage to the club (and its valuation) through not changing his behaviour...

You don't sell World Class players. He needs to get his head right and the ban needs to help him get right in his head that he will continue to get ridiculous bans unless he behaves himself. Nothing wrong with chatting, winding up players as he does. He shouldn't cross the line like he did with biting. He did the crime, now has to do the time

Rodgers has made him the main man in his whole system/style of play. Suarez needs to man up, stop feeling sorry for himself. Either appeal the ban or accept it and repay the considerable faith that has been shown in him. He owes LFC. Look at the stick Kenny took for constantly supporting him. Yeah, he's going to be gutted, but ultimately, the club are suffering more

Sure even the minster for sport, at the time of the Defoe bite, appealed for the FA to review the incident. Didn't happen of course.

On another note.....fair play to Pepe for that piece.
Hope he enjoys his extended ban, next time he falls foul of the ref.

It is not as simple as you say it is.

              a) Interesting timing.
              b) The FA has no jurisdiction to take previous in another league/country into account
              c) That has nothing to do with it

Those, who think we should sell...don't be soft.

All this crap about dragging the club through mud...I don't think the club's reputation has been tarnished at all. I think most clubs would do the same in our situation. I also don't think one player speaks and acts for the club as a whole. Anyone who says otherwise, has an agenda or is on a wind-up.

If anything, I think we'll come out of this good by not bending over to the media frenzy. Shows strong character at the club.

I think the Evra incident will have been taken into account in terms of this not being his first offence with the FA. I have a feeling we'll find out they added extra games to his ban due to the fact he's caused problems in the past.

                    We'll see.

This is what I don't understand.

Lee Cattermole for example - 6 red cards I think for basically being a dirty cunt. Does his history of collecting cards get taking into account for each ban? Nope.

Bans don't roll over unless they get a suspended ban, and bans have never increased in size exponentially if you're a troublemaker and keep getting into trouble. So why is it only Suarez who's 'previous character' is being taken into account when dishing out a punishment?
                      Hello mert.

...Gordon Taylor was on Talk****e this morning saying that both b) and c) influenced the decision on the 10 game ban...

Rio didn't get charged for his assault on Torres because they thought he would be in the England squad. Terry only got 4 games because Hodgson had picked him in his Euros squad and the FA thought he'd carry on playing for England.

The media really get on my tits. They keep saying 'Yeah but it's Suarez's fault'. They blatantly skim over the double standards of the bans.

Ferguson has a list of offences as long as my arm - have the FA ever taken his substantial previous into account? Nope. They ban/punish him on the merits of each case - they don't pile up the suspensions for constant abuse of officials.

Imagine if they took someone like Sergio Ramos's previous into account after every incident. That bloke seems to be always on a ban

Why? That's illogical. Did you forget he bit someone? That's a disgusting thing to do. Did you also forget all the problems he's caused us with that disgusting act.

He's let us down. That's undeniable IMO. I still love him, but I love him a little less for that.
